Vintage Hand Forged Large Iron Hook. Eyehook, and Slide Ring. The Large hook measures 9" long and hook is 4" across. Hook opening is 2 1/2" Hook and eye were pounded from a solid piece of iron. Slid Ring looks to accomodate 3/4" to 1" cable or rope. This was most likely used in a barn as a hanger and slide for hay bales or something similar. This came out of an old Maine barn- It was rusty but I've cleaned it up some and lightly oiled it to preserve it. This is a very nice vintage large Hand Forged Iron Hook and Ring for your Collection! For sale is an old cast iron hanger/hook for horse tack. Tools, or household use. It is marked with a patent date of Feb. 1892. It measures 10 3/4" away from the wall when mounted and the mounting plate is 10 3/4" long. The side with 8 stepped double hooks measures 16 1/2" long. Weighs 2 lbs. 6 oz. It was originally painted black and has some paint remaining- where there is no paint it has some light rust. It could be used as is. Repainted, or lightly oiled to prevent further rust. There are no cracks. Chips, or repairs.

Large 12-in Antique Cast Iron Stable or Barn Tack Hook c1900 Description: This is a very large cast iron tack hook dating. I would guess, to the late 1800s or early 1900s. It extends out 12 inches and has a 4 1/2 x 3 inch mounting plate with holes for four bolts or screws. The hook is in excellent condition with its old surface left as found. It can be cleaned and polished with black shoe polish to bring out the old iron patina if desired. The shipping weight is 5 pounds. It can be sent in a medium flat rate box in the U.S. for $12.35. LARGE ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON BARN HOOK 10.25 inch
This is a nice old large wrought iron hook measuring 10.25 inches top to bottom.The back is shaped and is 1.25 inches at its widest.Tapers to a point at the top.At the front the hook comes out 5.25 inches.I think this hook was probably used in a barn or old cottage.It was probably hammered into a beam[ evidence at the base where it has been hammered]The hook is in reasonable order with pitting and wear commensurate with age and use[ top of point turned in a touch]It probably dates to the late 1800s. This nice old large wrought iron barn hook would grace any collection or sit very well in any period or contemporary setting.
