This is a very unique(and adjustable) lamp and has"Hubbell" on the switch(see ... morepicture) This item stands about 7" tall without the shade or bulb and around 10" with bulb and shade(came with a 25 watt bulb which is not included) and weighs a bit under two pounds. To my surprise this lamp is adjustable in heigh t. The metal base unscrews to make this lamp go from 7" up to about 9 1/2" 12 1/2" with shade and bulb) This piece shows great patina throughout and is being left to next buyer as to how much cleaning is to be done. The wiring on this lamp is definitely older and may need to be redone. As you can see from one of the pictures it does(or at least did) work when I carefully and cautiously tested it! I cannot guarantee that it will continue to work without rewiring. That being said I am including pictures to show the plug and socket wires. Some fraying of the cloth cover is evident at both ends. I would rather err on the side of being cautious but the rest of the cord seems to be in fairly good shape. No tape jobs or cuts. The"HUBBELL" switch seems to turn nicely and has great on/ off clicks. The shade(which is non metallic) sort of snaps around the bulb. Pictures will show this mechanism on the inside of the shade. I am not sure of the age of this lamp. But I knew it was something different and unique when I saw and obtained it. Hopefully you will too and give it a good home. Tea Table features nice deep color and grain pattern. With a scalloped skirt resting on four cabriole legs with slight carving to knees, with protective hard rubber foot terminal ending. There are no candle slides on this model. Construction is rock solid steady with stamped markings underneath, but no maker name, could be any one of several small factories making colonial reproductions of good quality well before the internet and big box store days. Glue blocks on corners undererneath are nice and sound. This is all solid wood, not a cheap chip board foreign mahogany lookalike with sprayed laquer finish that looks garish in person! Condition Report: Slight rub mark to leg as shown. Small burn mark on top. General wear and tear of a used piece. Antique 1940's-50's bank shuffleboard table
Up for auction is my father's 1940's era 12' American Standard bank shuffleboard table. It was given to him in the 80's and has been well- kept in the basement of their house ever since. He passed away a year ago. And my mother is wanting to clean house and this table takes up a lot of room! This is a great restoration/conversation piece! A local woodworker has seen it and was drooling over the chance to refinish it. The table has seen its share of play, but is in really good shape still. There are a few small missing trim pieces, but can easily be found or made. The top is made of real butcher block, not the way cheap modern tables are made of. Part of the butcher top has split a little on one end, but can be repaired. It made them easier to roll over the uneven surfaces of a factory floor. It's a good design for a factory, but bad for a table. So. We fix the rocking by adding an improved set screw to each end-wheel and ship a wrench with the cart so you can adjust the table just the way you want it. You are bidding on a fantastic c.1910 tiger oak file cabinet repurposed into a coffee table. If you don't want to use it as a coffee table the legs easily come off. The cabinet has been cleaned up to look as close to new as possible. We added a custom top and stained it to match as close as possible. We then added stainless legs to make this a cool coffee table. There is the original hole there in one of the drawers for where the lock was but the lock is missing. The entire cabinet measures 33" wide 17" deep and 17" tall. Antique Wicker End or Occasional Table ~ AMAZING Condition~Perfect for 100 Uses!
Great Vintage Wicker Coffee Table Great Prairie/Arts& Crafts Style Piece Description: This fine coffee table came from a sale here in NH. The seller only knew that it was her grandmothers who came to New Hampshire as a widowed bride from Minnesota during WWII and that this table had been at their summer cottage all of her life but that there were never any matching pieces that she ever saw. This table may have travelled east with her because I have seen this style of wicker used in the Midwest. A few years back I saw pictures a set of wicker furniture with this same coffee table on the covered rear patio or verandah in a book about Prairie Style home by Frank Lloyd Wright. This table is in great shape for its age and there is really only one spot on one leg where the wrapping could use a little tightening as you can see in my pictures. ... morePlease look at all of my pictures as they are the best way for you to judge condition. The table is covered in a nice tight weave pattern that is remarkably intact. The new owner may want to think about covering it with a glass top to keep it looking nice. The piece has some nice decorations picked out with a darker contrasting wicker. There is a nice slung shelf underneath which is also in nice shape. The feet have brass colored caps which I have seen on a lot of Heywood pieces just after the turn of the century. I would guess that this is from around 1910– 1920 which also fits in with what I know of the piece. The table measures 25” x 16” and stands 19” tall. It is constructed of wood and wicker and has what looks like a model number of 5008 underneath the table top. This unusual cigar& cigarette case measures 280mm(11" x 150mm(6' x 80mm(3' deep excluding the handle and weighs 830 grams. It is very well constructed from solid oak with cedar lining and has chrome fittings with Cigar to one lid and Cigarette to the other. Two match strikers and a central carry handle either side of ornate strap hinges with a vacant shield to the front.
