Victorian Silverplate Covered Soup Tureen Reed & Barton Bowl Deer Stag MUST SEE
Being offered here is a used vintage covered silver plate tureen marked“Mf’d& Plated by Reed& Barton” Not sure of the numbers. the first number looks like 2.000 and the one below it is 1? can not read the second digit) Unfortunately we were not able to identify the date for the mark. Please view pictures for details. Measuring from the outside of one handle to the other is approximately 12 ¼” The outside diameter of the tureen is about 9” and the rim is about 7 ¾” It is approximately 5 ¾” deep. Measuring to the top of the finial on the lid this serving accessory stands 10 ¼” tall. There are some surface scratches on the outside and a 3/16” long dent near the top rim. The inside shows some utensil wear and pinpoint marks use. The legs depict a stag theme which may be a clue as to what the tureen was intended to ... morecontain. The fanciful legs are remarkable. FB ROGERS SILVERPLATE 5-Piece Covered Chafing Set-Dish, Stand, Burner, Bowl, Lid
This auction is for a vintage silverplate covered chafing set. This lot was manufactured by F.B. Rogers. The imprint on the bottom of the burner reads as follows: Trade Mark 1883 F.B. Rogers Silver Co. Silver Plate 1144 The set consists of a burner. A stand, a bowl, a shallow pan, and a lid. The burner is metallic throughout. And measures about 4” in diameter. It has a key-like apparatus coming out through one side, and a lid which raises to expose a wick. The stand is decorated with ornate floral designs. With three legs and openings at the top(for the cookware) and bottom(for the burner) It stands about 6 1/2” tall. The bowl is shallow– approximately 8 3/4” in diameter and less than 2 1/2” deep. It is slightly rounded at the bottom. The saucepan is even more shallow– approximately 10 1/2” in diameter and less than 2” deep. It has a beautiful ... moredesign around its borders. And a 7” wooden handle. The cover has a domed shape and a floral design on the looped handle. It reaches up to 4 1/2” tall Altogether. The set weighs a little over 6 pounds. It stands a foot tall. This chafing set is used. And it does have some signs of wear. All of the pieces have surface scratches, abrasions, and some discoloration. The lid has a significant amount of tarnish on its exterior– the top of the cover actually appears to be brass, it has darkened so much. The bottom of the stand, where the burner operates, is noticeably discolored as well. Grape Pattern Friedman Silver Co Silverplate Covered Serving Plate Dish Bowl
This is a nice old silver-plate oval covered serving dish by the Friedman Silver Co. of Brooklyn. NY(Purchased by Gorham in 1960) Measuring 12" by 9-3/8" and approx. 2-3/4" high with the cover, it has a wonderfully detailed grape pattern around the edge and on the handles. The plating is not perfect, but for it's age, it's very presentable and useable. Please check the photos for detail. Each side, top& bottom has a few bits of plate damage. The most notable is inside the cover. If you can forgive that, this could be a great and impressive serving piece. Estimated package weight is 3 pounds. Silver by Burche Feather trademark silverplate covered Pedestal lidded bowl UFO
Nice find at a local estate auction. This is for a Pedestal covered lidded silverplate Serving or Candy bowl. It has the famous Silver by Burche trademark FEATHER on the bottom. It is approx 6" tall x 11" across. Lid had knob on top to grasp. Interior is approx 2 1/4" deep. NO DENTS. Would make a lovely bowl to keep you snack candy in or as a serving bowl on your formal table. Could even be used in your independent UFO film making career.
