This is for a vintage sterling S. Kirk and Sons tea set. The Tea set is a 3 piece set with no tray. There is a tea pot. Sugar and creamer. The tea pot is 8.5’ tall and 2.75’ across the bottom but gets bigger as it goes up. The creamer stands 2.5’ tall and the sugar is 4.25’ tall. On all the bottoms of the pieces they are marked S. Kirk& Sons 925/1000 188. This set weighs a total of 23.4 oz. This is a great set and looks to be in very nice condition. The only little thing at all I can see is a small waive in the silver on the bottom of the tea pot but can’t tell if it’s a ding or not. This is a great set so bid with total confidence. Sterling Silver. Paul Revere Reproduction Bowl Lovely large sterling silver Paul Revere Reproduction Bowl made by S.Kirk and Sons of Baltimore. Maryland. the bowl is 9 1/2 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 inches tall. It's base is 4 5/8 in diameter. It is stamped Reproduction, Paul Revere. S.Kirk and Sons, Sterling, 221 on the bottom with the date of 1950. It is in excellent condition for its age with a few very light scratches inside the bowl and a light scratch ending in a tiny nick on the outside of the bowl. The bowl weighs 28.3 ounces or 803 grams. It has a stylized G monogrammed on the front. S.Kirk and Sons: Samuel Kirk& Son. Inc. Papers, 1834-1979 Maryland Historical Society: Baltimore's prominent silver manufacturing company. Samuel Kirk& Son, dates its beginning to 1815 when Philadelphia-trained Samuel Kirk finished ... morehis apprenticeship under James Howell and moved to Baltimore. Attracted by the prosperous port, Kirk opened his shop at 212 Market Street(later known as 106 Baltimore Street) with fellow silversmith, John Smith. After the partnership was dissolved in 1821, Samuel Kirk carried on the business alone until his eldest son, Henry Child Kirk, became a partner in 1846. During this early period Kirk introduced to America the repousse treatment for silverware. Repousse means formed in relief and refers to a pattern which is beaten or pressed up from the reverse side. Kirk's technique was probably inspired by East India silversmiths. But his patterns were uniquely his own. Eventually he applied this technique to flatware as well as other pieces. The company prospered greatly. In 1820 Maria Hester Monroe. Daughter of President James Monroe, was married in the White House. She chose Kirk Mayflower as her silverware pattern. During his 1824 tour of the United States, General Lafayette ordered a pair of goblets for his Baltimore host, David Williamson. Please note I could NOT find a Kirk stamp on this piece but it looks exactly like their Rose repousse pattern. Like I did when I got it if you didn't know either way it fits right in with my Rose. It might be just that but please judge for yourself. It is stamped STERLING HANDLE on the side as seen in fourth picture in gallery. For your consideration is this magnificent example of a Kirk STYLE repousse bottle opener to grace your table in a truly beautiful pattern. It features rose repousse artwork in a very heavy pattern with stainless opener. It is a nice size. 6&1/2" long and fits very nicely in your hand to pop your favorite craft beers to IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS. This is a VERY heavy and sturdy sterling handled opener unlike a lot of the cheaper ones made back in the day. There are no dents. Dings or otherwise damage anywhere ... morealong the handle. If you have one in this pattern it would make a nice match or would make a dramaitc statement on any table by itself. Please study the pictures carefully as they are an integral part of description. This auction is for an Eight piece set of 14oz Sterling Silver Tumblers(Tea or Water glasses) made by Samuel Kirk and Son of Baltimore in the 1950s. These glasses are in very good to excellent condition with no monograms on six of them and only initials on the bottom of the other two where they will not be seen during normal use. Each glass is 5 1/8" tall and 3" in diameter at the top with a weight of 173 grams. That gives a combined weight of 1384 grams.

Features: This is a very nice pair of antique(Victorian era) solid bangle bracelets. Both are considered rare. One is made by S. Kirk& Sons Company and the other is more than likely made by them with marks faded. Based on workmanship as both have very similar earlier'arts and crafts's era patterns. An earlier design, made by this Baltimore MD(USA) firm, established in 1815 by Samual Kirk. Firm was among the first to began competing during the beganing stages of the'arts and craft's movement of 1868 c to 1890's, creating various fabulous hand chased detail of various raised floral motif and leaf patterns. Both bracelets are exact size. Both have impressive earlier smith workmanship in an eye catching floral motif and leaf'arts and crafts' patterns. Both are solid and round shaped. Total is heavy. Weighs: 30.2 ... moregrams. They came from our family heirloom's Victorian era jewelery collection. Both were well kept and both in excellent condition. Fitting and Measurements: Fitting size per each are all the same. Like most round shaped. They look fine with a loose look appeal. Will fit most up to a size 7 1/3 inch wrist. All have inner circumference of 7.85 inches with inner diameter of 2.4 inches. Combined width(as in height) is about 1/3 inch(9 mm) Hallmark and Marks: Both have letter mark"STERLING" Although. One has earlier firm's mark" S. KIRK& SONS" with inventory# 4" the other bangle we're very sure either had firm's earlier mark but long faded as part of the sterling mark(ing" or like some of the firm's earlier work in jewelry, firm did not always trademark thier work. Kirk& Son Co. 925/1000(sterling) Each spoon is about 6” long. Both spoons are in very excellent condition with no dings. Deep scratches or gouges. This Very nice group of Sterling silver consists of a Large Tiffany Co Spoon 8-3/8" long with a monogram. A S. Kirk& Sons Letter Opener c 1900(no mono) a Whiting teaspoon(no mono) and a pair of English Musard or Relish Spoons c. 1921. They all have a bit of tarnish but should shine up quite nicely. They weigh a total of 148 grams or about 4.75 troy ounces.
