Up for auction is this beautiful VINTAGE SILVER PLATE REED& BARTON VEGETABLE or ENTREE SERVING BOWL in the MAYFLOWER PATTERN with LID and HANDLES! The lid or cover has lovely shaped silver plate handles with a slightly scalloped edge all the way around. There are very ornate fancy initials engraved on the top of the lid. The bowl also has the scalloped detail around the edges and is hallmarked on the bottom"REED& BARTON 5001 MAYFLOWER" and the letter"A" within a circle. This dish is 10 3/4" long. 7 1/8" wide, and 1 5/8" tall. The lid is 11 1/8" long(including the handles) and 6 1/4" and 1 1/2" tall. This piece has been discontinued. So it is a nice find! The corners of the top piece are bent up( I dont know if that was done on purpose or by accident) Some scratching and minor dents, some major scratches on the bottom of the serving tray, some silver plate loss, mostly on the bottom of the serving tray, the outside of the piece is in good condition, most of the damage is on the middle serving tray. Grape Pattern Friedman Silver Co Silverplate Covered Serving Plate Dish Bowl
This is a nice old silver-plate oval covered serving dish by the Friedman Silver Co. of Brooklyn. NY(Purchased by Gorham in 1960) Measuring 12" by 9-3/8" and approx. 2-3/4" high with the cover, it has a wonderfully detailed grape pattern around the edge and on the handles. The plating is not perfect, but for it's age, it's very presentable and useable. Please check the photos for detail. Each side, top& bottom has a few bits of plate damage. The most notable is inside the cover. If you can forgive that, this could be a great and impressive serving piece. Estimated package weight is 3 pounds. This item is a very pretty silver plated covered casserole dish. It is 12" in diameter. And has a Pyrex insert inside. The item was rarely used, and is in very good condition. It has a small scratch and a place under the lip where the silver plate has chipped slightly(with age) Please see photos closely. The name Homan Manufacturing Company was first used sometime between 1904 and 1915. The company went out of business in 1941.

Antique Ellis Barker Silver Plate Dome Covered Warming Plate 1900-1925
This ELLIS BARKER 6 5/8" warming plate has a twist off cap on side. This allows you to fill the bottom compartment with warm water to keep the food warm. There is a beautiful elegant dome with a decorated finial. The same decoration is around the outer rim of the plate. The plate is marked, on bottom, England and with the MS letters in a shield- this dates to about 1910-1925. There is some usage wear because of age and use. Please See Photo's)

The covered vegatable server is 14 2/8" long and is in excellent condition with some light scratching but no serious damage or condition issues. It could use a good polishing.
