Important mid-18th Century map a sea chart of the World by Bellin. Which over a 25 year period beginning in 1748 was used to illustrate many of the great works of exploration published in France. Engraved in 1748. 1st edition, it predated the mapping of the Bay of the West, the discovery of the Sandwich Islands, mapping of New Zealand, the East Coast of Australia along with many other features of the South seas which would later be added within the next 25 years with the discoveries to the map.
