Vintage Metal School Pull Down Map Display / Rack / Holder Holds up to 8 Maps
Up for your consideration is a vintage map holder/rack from a school here in NW Ohio. It holds up to 8 pull down style maps. It is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear. No hardware is included with this. The school used'S' hooks to hang it and that seemed to work well for them. It does have little rubber bumpers at the bottom. The little round buttons that hold the maps are about 1 3/8" diameter 42" wide 21 1/8" tall about 1" total thickness. Thanks for taking a look. A rare find! A complete set of Weber Costello canvas pull down school maps. These are in unbelievable condition. Maps include. World" United States" Europe" Africa" North America" South America" and"Asia and Australia" in excellent condition. No rips or tears. Color is still amazingly vivid.only a couple little scratches on the brown canvas at the bottom of a few. Doesn't affect the graphics. My photos don't do justice. Roll down school map like the teacher rolled down in front of the chalkboard. Huge 64 inches wide by 50 inches deep. That's just the map information area. 48 States plus Hawaii and Alaska too. Both poles are well attached, a little bit of the laminate is coming off one side on the bottom. Has a few stains, shows wear and use in some places, no real tears I don't think. Bright colors. Vintage Denoyer Geppert Classroom School Wall Map Sequence Map of Greece
This vintage Denoyer-Geppert classroom wall map is a sequence map of Greece. With four color-coded sections, as shown. It's the old-fashioned type of classroom map that's linen-backed and attached to wooden rods, without a spring roller or bulky hardware. It has a small metal ring for hanging. The map rolls up neatly and still has its original purple shoelace-cloth tie. The map has creases and wear. But is in generally good condition with still-bright colors and no significant soiling or tears. Please use zoom feature to see the condition of the map in better detail. The map measures 43&1/2 inches wide by 33&1/2 inches long(within the rods) and 47" wide and 35&1/4 inches long including the wooden rods. This is too wide to fit in a mailing tube. So I'll have to construct a triangular tube from a couple of large ... morecardboard boxes, but this will be carefully packed.

Vintage pull down school map. Europe. Population. No.9, A. Gibert, Librairie Delagrave, Paris. All info can be clearly seen in the photos. Spring rolled with metal frame. Rolls well. Overall condition very good- has a few wrinkles and crinkles. The brown bottom canvas has some tape. And marks where tape was removed. The metal frame/bracket measures 58" in width, the actual map is 48" in width. Will have to find a tube, and/or wrap adequately. This paper faced and cloth backed map by Rand McNally is in good condition and would make a bold addition to your home, office or classroom. Vintage School Map Ancient Italy
Recently came into possession of a bunch of old school maps. I was going to save them for myself. But have recently left the teaching profession, so onto eBay they go! This is a General Reference Map of Ancient Italy, put out by the George F. Cram Company of Indianapolis. It is not a pull-down map, but rather comes on two wooden dowels that roll up and tie together. This is a large wall map, measuring about 54 inches wide. Not sure of its age, but its definitely vintage- I would guess 60's to early 70's, but that's just a guess. It's in wonderful shape for its age- looks like one pin went through it above the"An" in"Ancient" at the very top. Otherwise condition and color are great. HUGE Vintage School Map of SE ASIA 6' x 7.5'
It hurts to part with this. But. Westermann. 1969. 72" x 90" yes, that's 6 x 7.5 feet! So far as I know, Westermann's are the biggest maps you'll find on ebay(and they're a bit of a rarity) Anyhow, I love it and colors are vibrant. Some schmuck scribbled in'dirty little war' in pen by Vietnam, but it's very small and quite pale- not even visible in this photo- and I think you could easily/ delicately erase it. Otherwise, it's awesome. Original seller had it for $500 on etsy, but I'm reselling here for cheap cause, well, we need the $ to travel! Feel free to send any questions my way.
