This is an original vintage W& A.K. Johnston's Palestine educational pull down classroom wall map from the 1950's. It measures 42 inches in legnth and 28 inches in width. It is signed W& AK Johnston's Map of Palestine(Physical) To Illustrate Bible History. It has a string at the top for hanging and strings to tie together when rolled up. It has ends wood at the top and bottom. The paper has come away from most of the wood end at the bottom. This should be fairly easy to re-attach. Other than that. Vintage Crams' School Wall Map of Africa This auction is for a vintage; possibly antique. School wall map of AFRICA. At one time this was a retractable wall map meaning it would pull down and roll up. Now it is simply fastened to an upper and lower wooden pole. The lower pole is original but the upper one is not. Map with poles measures about 55" wide and 58" long when hung. There are directions on it for writing on the map and cleaning it. Lovely original double sided vintage school classroom wall map of Europe. One side features the physical geography and climate of Europe and the other is the political map of Europe. Great vintage feel to this one and a great piece of home decor for your vintage home/ retail premises. It has a map for the western movement, a map showing Europe's rise with the settling of the western hemisphere, a map showing the slave trade in the early 1800's, a map of the colonies on the eve of independence, another map that shows the achievement of independence and the last map is of"a quarreling people" a period right before the civil war.
