Vintage map of Africa. This is an old canvas pull down map. It came from an old school building that was demolished around the mid 1980s. The map was old when it was recovered from the school building. I am unsure of the print date of the map. At the bottom of the map it says"Copyright. The George F. Cram Co. Inc. Indianapolis 7, Indiana-printed in the USA. This map has some minor blemishes and imperfections, as to be expected with it's age, but it is in good condition over all. It still has the roller with the spring still intact. It will still roll up and down if you mount it with the correct hardware. The map measures approximately 50 inches wide and 55 inches tall. Here's a large pull down map of AFRICA by Nystrom in good condition. The actual map printed area is roughly 50" wide by 74" tall. This map has two layers the top layer has names and borders on a semi-transparent vellum material. There is some traces of some kind of adhesive residue at the very bottom of the map just above the wooden rod. Nothing major but worth noting. Comes attached to metal mounting bracket. Vintage map of Asia. This is an old canvas pull down map. It came from an old school building that was demolished around the mid 1980s. The map was old when it was recovered from the school building. I am unsure of the print date of the map. At the bottom of the map it says"Copyright. The George F. Cram Co. Inc. Indianapolis 7, Indiana-printed in the USA. This map has some minor blemishes and imperfections, as to be expected with it's age, but it is in good condition over all. It still has the roller with the spring still intact. VINTAGE PULL DOWN SCHOOL MAP CANVAS COLLEGE DETAILED COLOURS WALL CLASSROOM MAP
This map is a great size for the average home. Lots of detail with great contrasting colors. The big tear at the bottom can be taped but I recommend separating the wood dowel and trimming it off. The map was made to fit into a automatic hanging device which it does not have. Not a problem if your going to hang it. The reason the brown area is so large is Thats the part of the map that was pulled down. The top dowel is spring loaded and was mounted in the hanging bracket so the map rolled up when pulled. the way to hang it is simply by attaching an eye bolt at the top right above the title. Easy to do. There are areas that need a little mending with tape frayed canvas edges some light stains but still a very good map for hanging not for windows and such. The size is 65" x 75"

This is a collector map by AJ NYSTROM& Co. Printed on canvas about 1943. It shows more wear than the 60's maps. Has been repaired many times as you can see the yellowing of tape at the top. Still needs a little minding with tape I a few areas the edges of canvas have usual amount of fraying but don't let that scare you it's still got a lot of life remaining. I don't recommend rolling it up every day or using as a window blind however. Hung on the wall and most of the flaws will not be seen well maybe a few. The size is 50" wide and 35" long

This is a classic'pull down' school map from 1962. This map is of the United States. With details of Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It is paper on a canvas backing. There are creases and wrinkles, but no tears in the paper. The color is clean and sharp. There is some fraying along the edges, and some paint, stains and tears in the vinyl leader strip below the map. There is some water staining on the canvas backing, but it does not appear to have come through.

When pulled and retracted out, these double maps measure approx. 67" long and 43" wide. 3 of these maps are dated as being from 1952, while the other 2 are dated 1954. This auction is for an old pull down map. It is of Europe. I would say it is from the 1920's. It is made by Denoyer-Geppert. The map itself was drawn by R. Baxter Blair. The map measures approx. 42 inches wide and approx. 52 inches long. It is attached with the brackets on what appears to be the original wood board. The springs get a little stuck and sometimes takes a few pulls to get it to roll back up. The map itself has some condition issues as can be seen in the photos.
