Rare find. An entire edition of The Cincinnati Enquirer from. December 8, 1941, the Miami Final. The headline reads, JAPAN AT WAR WITH UNITED STATES; RAID KILLS 104 SOLDIERS IN HAWAII. Rosevelt To Address Congress Today. There is a large photo of Emperor Hirohito on the front page. See photos for peeks inside this issue. This 60+ year old newspaper is in remarkable conditon. Very fragile, but still very readable. What I did with some of my old papers is, I took them to Kinkos, had full size copies made of the front pages, stained them with coffee grounds and had them framed. This saved my original papers, but I could still enjoy them. The old grocery ads look great like this in a retro kitchen or dinningroom. I have copies of other old news papers.

Let me explain that I do have the envelope in which it was mailed(from Office of Gerald R. Ford– Rancho Mirage, CA) I also have a letter with official“Office of Gerald R. Ford” emblem/stationary. We recently purchased this for the intentions of offering it to the eBay/pinball community as a project machine or for parts. Along the way we may piddle with it a bit and see if we can get her going but for the time being it does not power on. If we make any progress I will update the listing and let you know. The immediate problems at hand are. besides it not powering on, of course) the two front legs are missing, it is held up by two folding chairs as you can see in the second photo) the bolts that hold the"alley" into place are missing, and the buttons on the front of the machine appear to need some work. Aside from that. The glass and artwork appear to be in great shape except for one flaw that I photo'd in picture number 6, all the wiring appears to be in place with no breaks or decay, all 12 bowling pins are here(two ... moreof them look like replacements but are present) and it appears to be all original aside from the pins I mentioned and a new wire for the player select switch. The locks on the back have been drilled out to gain access. However it appears they did a good job not to damage the cabinet around these locks when they did so. If you have any specific questions or would like photos of something in particular please let me know. I could only upload 12 photos and would have liked to have done nearly double that. 1940c Jones Family Hand Crank Sewing Machine made in the UNITED KINGDOM
This 1940c Jones Family C.S. Hand Crank Sewing Machine made by the Jones Manufacturing Company. Guidebridge, Manchester, England with the serial#B541494. Unlike its Singer 28 counterpart this machine has both a forward and reverse. William Jones started making sewing machines in 1859. And in 1860 formed a partnership with Thomas Chadwick. Trading as Chadwick& Jones they manufactured sewing machines at Ashton-under-Lyne. This partnership was short lived and in January 1864 Thomas Chadwick joined Bradbury& Co. In 1869 Jones opened a factory in Guide Bridge Nr Manchester and the firm became incorporated(Limited) on 5th July 1879. It survives today as Brother UK Ltd.
