The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. Original Sold by W Faden Geographer to His Majesty sticker on the back of the map. This map is important because it was printed within the same 10 year period of 5 other famous landmark maps by Von Humboldt. Pike, Lewis& Clark, Arrowsmith and Melish. All published maps covering all or some of the same geographical regions of Mexico, Texas, California and the West. At the bottom of this map Tardieu writes in English. This Map is executed according to the astronomical observations of Baron de Humboldt. And Don Joaquin de Ferrer. Condition: The map is in Good condition for its age with overall tonal aging and original handcoloring as issued. Blank on the reverse with a centerfold as issued. It is basically as seen in the pics. There is some darkening and light handling around the margins, a five inch split along the bottom of the centerfold that has been professional repaired on reverse, see the pics for more on condition.
