up for bid is a vintage Cram's Physical- Political Terrestrial 16 inch globe that is big and hard to find. It is marked C87, I think this dates to mid century, the over all condition is good, please see pictures, a couple of spots need a touch of glue and a couple of very small places with some red substance I have not tried to clean it, the brass swiveling stand is in excellent condition and functions great. it has a decorative design to the base and the base is in very nice condition, it weighs 7 pounds, shipping cost reflect a huge box and packing, no reserve. thanks for looking!

Great addition to a collection. This Crams globe sits in metal cradle which has scales to calculate flight mileage and time for both prop and jet planes. Nice. Vivid colors on globe but has some scuffs and scrapes from usage. I tried to point out in photo one place on cradle that has been dented.but the globe still sits correctly in it and is able to turn. Very Rare Victorian Antique Miniature Desk Terrestrial Globe with inset Compass This extremely fine antique globe measures 3.5 inches in diameter(circumference of approx. 12.6inches) The globe with original engraved and coloured paper- Stunning detail and fine original condition as pictured- some of the photos show where the camera has flashed the globe. Mounted on a turned ebonised stand and base with a working compass inset to the base as pictured. The compass works fine has its original steel pointer and paper dial. Up for sale is a wonderful vintage circa late 1930s to mid 40s GEORGE F CRAM CO 12" Terrestrial World Globe- Duncan Phyfe Wood Floor model base with the globe surmounted by a metal hour disk in calibrated full meridian- in rotating meridian fork. This is the deluxe floor model. The globe dates between 1936- 1945 as Manchoukuo is shown- which was earlier known as Manchuria. ITALIAN SOMALILAND is shown east of Ethiopia and I believe this area was under Italian authority only until 1941. I can not be exact but I would guesstimate it would date to somewhere between the late 1930s and early 40s. If you go to ebay item number 310874771939 you will find an old circa 1944 advertisement for Cram Globe. This exact same model is called their DeLuxe Floor Model. Now they may have used this exact same style for a number of years but it gives you ... moresome reference. The globe stands approx 36" tall. Has a base diameter of 17-1/2" and measures approx 16" diameter across the metal meridian holder. The globe is in good estate fresh- as found condition. Not perfect- there are a couple areas of noted paper wear or imperfection- nothing significant but shown in the pics and noted in the condition report. The base is excellent as is the metal meridian ring. I will package in one large box and send fully insured. The borders of Finland are those prior to the Russo-Finish war of 1940(the"Winter War" Austria and the Western Czechoslovakia have been absorbed into Nazi Germany. Italian East Africa and ... morethe rump fascist state of Slovakia are shown. The globe was fabricated with coated paper gores over plastic. There is a metal time dial at North Pole. It sits on an unusual rounded metal base and is supported by a brass colored triangular metal stem. Condition. This nice old globe is in very good condition for its age. There is slight color fading due to the passage of time. The accompanying images show some minimal damage: 1) a small scuff(white underneath) in the area of the south Pacific just to the lower left of the analemma. 2) a thin vertical cut. Approx. 3/4 long, located between Iceland and the northern Norway. There are a few other minor scuffs where the blue of the ocean is wearing thin and the white underneath is staring to show through, but these do not detract from the appearance of the globe and are on visible on very close examination. The globe spins smoothly and easily. Finally. Please note that I did not polish the globe's metal base prior to taking the photographs for this listing, but this could easily be accomplish if the owner wanted to make it look clean and shiny. A very nice antique German globe. I believe this to date to about 1900. But I am not an expert in this area. Wonderful condition- I see no real flaws in the globe(light areas in the photographs are reflections) Stand in good condition with compass mounted in the base. Auction is for a very nice vintage George F. Cram 9" Terrestrial globe manufactured in Indianapolis. Indiana USA. CONDITION is VERY GOOD. Unsure of the age of globe. Perhaps from late 1940’s to early 1960’s? Natural scale: 1: 55,800,000. 880 Statute miles = One Inch. Spellings conform to official rulings of United States Geographical Board and Royal Geographical Society No. 90 C366. The globe itself has good coloring with no tears on the paper. The metal stand does have a couple blemishes that can clearly be seen in the pictures. Cast metal gold toned half meridian on gold tone trumpet from metal base. Antique Cram’s Universal Terrestrial Globe– 7 Inch Manufacturer Model No. 73 Made in U.S.A. Up for auction is a Cram’s Universal Terrestrial Globe-7 inch made by The George F. Cram Co. Indianapolis, Indiana. There is a metal time dial at North Pole. It sits on a rounded metal base and is supported by a brass colored triangular metal stem. This nice old globe is in very good condition for its age. There is slight color fading due to the passage of time. There are a few other minor scuffs where the blue of the ocean is wearing thin and the white underneath is starting to show through. Also. The small metal ring underneath has come away from the globe, but does not look to be an issue. The globe spins smoothly and easily. World terrestrial globe by Georg Matthaus Seutter 1710 This museum globe has the sphere carved from one piece of wood and the layer map on the surface is hand coloured. Made about 1710 Georg Matthaus Seutter in Germany. The writing on the map is in latin. The overall condition of the globe is good with normal signs of ageing. With some cracks, spots and dirty(see the photos below) but nothing import and to diminish its beauty. The ring dial is gilded bronze. Added later. The base and the columns are turned wood. It is a must piece in any collection. It measures 40cm of height with a diameter of the outer ring of 30 cm and the sphere 20cm. 1930s Rand McNally Art Deco 12" World Terrestrial Globe Unique Glass Base Ships
This is a 1930s. Pre-WWII Rand McNally 12" world terrestrial globe, resting on its original black glass base. It has beautiful coloring and features several explorers’ ships(Columbus’ Santa Maria, Captain Cook, etc. in the oceans. Overall the condition is very good. The art deco glass base is perfect. But the globe has three small indentations in the oceans that are about the size of a small fingertip. Note that there is no paper loss in these areas. I have been unable to find a similar globe with this base. I’ll be listing several globes from my personal collection. So please keep watching. The terrestrial globe is surmounted by clear plastic hour disk. In calibrated metal full meridian supported by semi-circular meridian fork, on a round, stepped, black base and decorated with an Art Deco compass and an assortment of famous ships and types of ships, including Viking ship, big-mast ships, Chinese junk, etc. Shipping routes are indicated by hatched lines. The maritime theme extends to the cartouche. With the text inside a scallop shell form, flanked by figures of Neptune and a sea nymph.

I believe it to be from the mid to late 1930's as itl shows Russia as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics; Vietnam as French Indo China; Korea as Chosen; Thailand as Siam; the Belgian Congo; as well as the Sargasso Sea in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a rare estate find which is being sold'as is' The globe spins freely and is in very good condition for its' age of almost 80 years, with some age appropriate wear. 1898 Otto Delitsch- J. Felkl& Sohn 8" Austria Terrestrial Globe(with damaged stand) My condition observations: Globe is all original with original varnish. I see no touch-ups. No repairs, no cracks, no dents and no breaks. Some of the surface areas show scuff marks, along with areas of missing color and areas of missing varnish. With that being said all of the detail is still visible. The brass full meridian is firmly attached. It measures 1/2" across and shows expected wear and soiling along with a nice aged patina and is easily readable. The top of the meridian shows a brass hour circle which measures 1-1/2" in diameter.
