There is a discoloration at the top of the pages. The cover is a thick cardboard- there is some damage at the lower left corner on the front. A couple pages have a tear- one on the top& one on the side edge. Quite a few of the holes at the tops of the paper pages(that you would hang from) are torn. I don't think they make re-enforcement circles that big. None of the damages interfere with the graphics or the maps. Great piece of history. Hearne Brothers School Map of Boston ( Pull-down Map)
A vintage School Map of Boston by the Hearne Brothers Company. It has beautiful. Vivid colors(magenta, kelly green, cobalt blue, pastel yellow) The map is good condition with the exception of a little wear and fraying on edges. But this gives it more character and shows its an original and not a reproduction. It still pulls down beautifully, with no rust on the metel roller. I've loved owning it!

Vintage Schoolhouse Pull-Down Chalkboard Map For sale is very unique vintage pull down chalkboard map of Africa. The map.along with some items in my other listings. was acquired from an old school that is being razed. It meaures 43" wide by 64" long when full retracted. The roller is in fine functional condition and will allow for the map to either be fully pulled down or fully rolled up. Imperfections include a small tear in the lower left hand corner and lower right hand side. This item was design to allow for students/teachers to use chalk on the map and then wipe it away with a damp cloth. Similar maps are sold by Restoration Hardware for around $500. This large(38' x 44' map was published by Denoyer-Geppert in 1966 and is double-sided: One side is titled"Farming and Grazing" the other is titled" Spanish Exploration 1492-1610. Drawn by R. Baxter Blair.d I acquired this map as surplus from the History Dept. of Western Kentucky University. The"Farming and Grazing" is a physical map of the U.S. which shows ag ricul tur al products. Animal industries, irrigation projects, and fisheries. The" Spanish Exploration 1492-1610" is a map of the U. S. Central America, and a port ion of South America. The only damage is a 1 1/2" tear on either side of the map, tearing away from the pull down rod. However, this does not affect the integrity of the map whatsoever. Crams School wall map State of Indiana and geographical Terms
These two maps roll up together. One map is the state of Indiana and the other map is Geographical Terms. The top map has some border tape coming loose at the bottom and the map is not ripped. There is a hole in the backing material which you cannot see with maps rolled out. It seems to operate well and rolls up fast. This is a Cram map and I cannot tell what year it is.
