The bottom has some damage-see pictures but from the middle of the bottom map up looks good. The original wooden rod is still at the bottom with the original pull. The map is coming loose from the backing at the bottom thus the damage. This would be a great addition to any Harvard University or wall map collection. Hart was born in Clarksville(now Clark) Mercer County. Pennsylvania. He graduated from Harvard University in 1880. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a classmate and friend of future U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt. He studied at Paris. Berlin and Freiburg. And received his doctorate from Freiburg in 1883. That same year joined the Harvard faculty, serving as instructor in history in 1883-1887, assistant professor in 1887-1897, becoming professor in 1897. I have here a vintage classroom map of the United States. It is by the Nystrom company. The map itself is in perfect condition. And may very well be a reprint. The hardware is also in perfect condition and is a great vintage shade of teal. The map measures 56 x 66 inches. The map moves up and down with ease and would make an interesting conversation piece to any room. I paid 150 dollars for it and I am asking only 50-75 for it now. Rare two Sided Denoyer-Geppert Vintage School Classroom Pull-Down Chalkboard Map We are pleased to offer this very rare double sided Denoyer-Geppert Vintage School Classroom Pull-Down Chalkboard Map One side is of the Continental United States and the opposite side is of the world Maps are in good condition. There is chalk residue on both sides. There is a red line across the world side mid to upper portion that would not come off with a damp cloth. We are not sure if it is red chalk or marker. The map is detaching from the wood pull down bar on one end. This should be a relatively easy fix. But we will leave that to the buyer. The map extends and retracts as designed. George F Cram World School Pull Down Map USSR Panoramic Spring Wood Rod
A vintage George F Cram World map school map. The Cram map of the world features a panoramic view of the world. It has USSR. The pull down spring loaded wood rod and metal hanger/mounting brackets work perfectly. Some age discoloration on the back. Esp. about 5" on the bottom. The Cram world map also has a teacher name written on it in a couple of places. Arrows in picture indicate small areas that are beginning to crack. These areas are not through the whole map. More like crease marks. It measures approx. 48" x 50" when pulled down. Colors are still bright and vivid, no fading. Thanks for looking!

Old colorful vintage 1941 school map. Large size of the world physical-political, edited by V.C. Finch, Professor of Geography, University of Wisconsin, Equatorial Scale, 1:25,344,000 of 400 miles to the inch. Van der Grinten Projection. Published by A.J. Nystrom& Co. Chicago. This map was cut and mounted on oil cloth so it could fold and was portable and it has metal brass grommets on the top so it could be hung as was typical of the time for classrooms. Neat old one. Has some brown paint splotch on the back. But at least it doesn’t show on the front. Neat big one for your wall. Colorful. Definitely used condition. Not pristine, but has a lot of character. Has dark spots on back. Possibly mildew, not sure, but will leave this to next owner. Still usable display condition. Was used in Texas classroom. Vintage Metal School Pull Down Map Display / Rack / Holder Holds up to 8 Maps
Up for your consideration is a vintage map holder/rack from a school here in NW Ohio. It holds up to 8 pull down style maps. It is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear. No hardware is included with this. The school used'S' hooks to hang it and that seemed to work well for them. It does have little rubber bumpers at the bottom. The little round buttons that hold the maps are about 1 3/8" diameter 42" wide 21 1/8" tall about 1" total thickness. Thanks for taking a look. A rare find! A complete set of Weber Costello canvas pull down school maps. These are in unbelievable condition. Maps include. World" United States" Europe" Africa" North America" South America" and"Asia and Australia" in excellent condition. No rips or tears. Color is still amazingly vivid.only a couple little scratches on the brown canvas at the bottom of a few. Doesn't affect the graphics. My photos don't do justice. With original metal roller and holder. The holder needs 2 bolts to hold the maps on. The glue holding all the maps together is starting to weaken. Large Antique 1857 Map Of Lewis County New York Roll School Linen Land Owners
Large 51 inches wide by 56 inches tall map of Lewis County. Made from actual surveys by A. Ligowski in 1857. Condition is all original. Somewhat yellowed with age and many creases and cracks in the paper. But no substantial pieces missing. This linen backed map has a split about in the center starting at the top and going down nearly half way. Overall and considering it's age this map is in decent/repairable condition. Contains the landowners names of the time.

Huge 1857 St Saint Lawrence County New York Roll School Map On Linen 5' Square
Large antique map of St. Lawrence County. New York. Taken from actual surveys by A.E. Rogerson, 1857. I believe this is an old school house roll out map with a linen backing. Condition is fair and complete. It is a little yellowed with age and has some creases and cracks in the paper surface. A couple small flakes of paper missing or sticking out. Overall I feel this is a great early and rare map of this large county in northern New York State.
