AWESOME - RARE Space Age Pull Down School Wall Chart Science Vintage Moon map
It's big. It's cool, its SPACE. Here's a teaching aid produced by the Hearne Brothers from, I'm guessing from the illustration work, the late 50s to early 60s. The first two photos show the front and back of the chart. The actual printed area is roughly 66" wide by 50" tall. I've spent some time detailing the defects in photos. There's some water/mildew stains and tears on the edges of the pull bar(not that unusual for pull down charts)

This is a DUAL LAYER UNITED STATES OF AMERICA pull-down. Retractable school map produced by Nystrom, a Division of Carnation Company. This map is a sculptural relief map once used in a classroom. Due to that it shows minor wear and tear of classroom use. Including a few rips near the top when it is fully extended. This does not affect the function of the map, but it is a cosmetic issue so I wanted to list it. Order# 117126394 This vintage map is a great teaching or collectors item for the world history buff! 4-5 of the bottom pages have little damage and are missing metal page strips. Map is in Very Good Condition for its age in my personal opinion. there are some maps that have highlighter/marker/pen markings likely from being used as a teaching tool. Nothing major as seen in the photos. The size of the maps themselves are 50" wide x range in measurements of 62" long as they get a an inch or 2 smaller as they go up. This old Nystrom pull down school map came from an old school house. The actual map size is 50 by 40 and overall 58 by 40. The map has a cloth back and nice vivid colors. Because of it's school use and age it has some crinkles. A loss of color area by the large South America right hand corner, some edge wear, some black bottom color loss, and a front and back clear tape repair by the Falkland Islands. Please see pictures. This old NYSTROM school map is probably a 1937 issue. It is very similar in size and looks to six other maps all found together in a school house and the other Nystrom maps were dated 1937. This old map is in nice condition considering it's age and school use. It has some crinkles. Stain spots near bottom and a two inch tape repair on the back which is not very noticeable on front. It has some black bottom paint loss. Please see pictures. It still has it's original wooden top and bottom rollers. It has a cloth back and the map is 50 by 40 and 58 by 40 overall.

FIRST EDITION 1963 Reader's Digest World Atlas W/ Bonus pull-out"Orbis Terrae Compnediosa Description" World Map(Kind of nice would look great framed) Book shows signs of age. But still a nice collectible CONDITION: Good condition for it's vintage age. Discoloration and light soiling to covers and spine. All 4 corners have rounding and light dings to them. On the front cover it looks as if white paint was speckled on it in red portion. Spine is a little loose but all pages and covers still intact. Light discoloration to pages. Back of bonus pull out map has discoloration on back and edges from age. Also has a few creases but still lays pretty flat. Please see all photos and ask any questions prior to bidding. Thank you. 1909 Rand McNally Pull Down Canvas Backed Africa School Map 40" x 47"
This fine old historical wall map provides a great backdrop for African colonial history and recent political events- a 1909 Rand McNally& Company Pull Down Canvas Backed School Map of Africa. This vintage map is titled"UNIVERSAL SERIES MAP OF AFRICA" and measures 40" wide x 47" high. The lower right margin reads"Rand McNally& Co.Map of Africa. Globe Series/ Copyright 1909 by Rand McNally& Co. Copyright 1908 by Rand McNally& Co. The map's scales are at the bottom center"Statute Miles. 153 = 1 Inch. Colonial rule by European nations is graphically shown in color coding: green for French, red for British, yellow for German territories. The few independent countries indicate the dominance of the continent by foreign powers. This 105-year old map is in good condition for its age. There are some ... morestains and horizontal creases at the top which resulted from the map being rolled. A large band of staining across the top apparently resulted from exposure to sunlight. There is a 10-inch tear at the top center, repaired long ago with now yellowed cellophane tape. There are also some vertical creases at the top and areas. The top and bottom edges are uneven indicating they were trimmed and the wood roller is missing from this map. The side margins have some edge wear, areas of paper loss and some tears. The vast majority of the creases and areas of paper loss are outside Africa. The buyer pays a flat rate shipping fee of $9.85(continental U.S. Please email any questions.

NYSTROM PULL DOWN WORLD MAP PRE 1950S FINCH PHYSICAL AND POLITICAL MAP No. FP98
This is a great looking vintage Nystrom pull down map. It does not say an age but still has Vietnam listed as Indochina. The name was changed in 1950. The map is quite large and the map portion of this piece measures approximately 63 1/2" x 43 1/2" The pull down and retraction mechanisms still work well. It has a piece of masking tape stuck to the map but I did not want to try to remove it and damage the map. Overall this map is in good vintage condition and has very interesting historical value too.
