D Columbia University. The map is about 44" wide and 53" long. I am not sure if the spring work on the rollers because I have no way to hang is. The bottom has signs of ware. the map it self is great. and has great color and detail. Fun for any room den or study. Any one who likes history. Very usable and full of vintage charm. Vintage Metal School Pull Down Map Display / Rack / Holder Holds up to 8 Maps
Up for your consideration is a vintage map holder/rack from a school here in NW Ohio. It holds up to 8 pull down style maps. It is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear. No hardware is included with this. The school used'S' hooks to hang it and that seemed to work well for them. It does have little rubber bumpers at the bottom. The little round buttons that hold the maps are about 1 3/8" diameter 42" wide 21 1/8" tall about 1" total thickness. Thanks for taking a look. The one of the world shows the political boundaries of each country and the United States map shows the states and their capitals. It's in very good used condition. The backside of the map does have some marks but they are not readily visible when the map is installed as they are on the back and top of the roll. There are a couple of small(1/2” or so) marks on the front of the map which might be possible to remove buy the winning bidder. The third and final thing is there is a small quarter size tear in the bottom of the lower map near the wood. It is an easy repair with strong clear tape on each side of the map. Antique Vintage Cram's Physical-Political Asia Large Pull Down Map - Markable
Here is an Antique Vintage Cram's Physical-Political Large Pull Down Map of Asia. These were used in schools and this one appears to have been produced in 1964. These are Markable-Kleenable. You can mark on them and then simply rub off the markings. The map itself measures approximately 50 5/8" wide and 57 1/2" long when extended down. The total width of the map in its holder is 55 1/4" wide and these holders work like a pull down window shade. These are made with some kind of canvas on the back and are heavy duty. This rolls up, sometimes it takes a couple of pulls just like a window shade but I seem to remember these being like this even when they were new. This is in good clean used condition, some of white area does have some light yellowing but now bad. But I believe this to be from the late 1950's to early 1960's. The map is identified with permanent marker on the wood end and exterior of the mounting fabric. Wood end dowel is split. Vintage Denoyer-Geppert School Pull Down Map Norway
Here is a unique pull down vintage/retro school map of Norway by H. Aschenhoug& Co. C. 1954, with an inset of the island areas in the northeast of the country. All descriptive information is in Norwegian. Deep vivid colors. In beautiful condition. Map has wood poles top and bottom and is linen backed paper. 1952 Pacific Northwest Physical Political Denoyer-Geppert Pull Down School Map. 5 1/2ft x 4ft all canvas with original mounts and brackets in great shape! Pully works and holds. This map is RARE! I have not seen any others like this in this size. It was my mom's she taught 5th grade for the last 40 years in a school that is over 100 years old.
