This is a classic'pull down' school map from 1962. This map is of the United States. With details of Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It is paper on a canvas backing. There are creases and wrinkles, but no tears in the paper. The color is clean and sharp. There is some fraying along the edges, and some paint, stains and tears in the vinyl leader strip below the map. There is some water staining on the canvas backing, but it does not appear to have come through.

This auction is for an old pull down map. It is of Europe. I would say it is from the 1920's. It is made by Denoyer-Geppert. The map itself was drawn by R. Baxter Blair. The map measures approx. 42 inches wide and approx. 52 inches long. It is attached with the brackets on what appears to be the original wood board. The springs get a little stuck and sometimes takes a few pulls to get it to roll back up. The map itself has some condition issues as can be seen in the photos. I don't recommend rolling it up every day or using as a window blind however. This item is in great condition. The map pulls out without a problem and the spring works as it should to roll the map back into place. It does show some age, but the map still shows great color!
