If you've ever seen ... moreone of my globe auctions, I LOVE GLOBES and always have at least one at home. So, this was like the answer to my prayers, my two loves- booze and globes. Bad Carole! Well. I've probably drank all the alcohol one lifetime is allowed and I no longer entertain like I used to when I was younger. So, I figure that I'll let this one go to a new person who loves globes and/or bars. And this item will easily accommodate the lover of either or both! Originally I was going to have to take this apart to ship. So I show pictures of it coming apart. But I found a wonderful box that it can ship in so I've put it back together for shipping. The pictures do show that its very easily disassembled for storing between uses if you don't have enough room to display it always. In fact, I used no tools to take it apart or put it together, the metal square that holds the magnet arch was used as a screw driver as it felt brass and was strong and the perfect size. I also like the fact that the top and bottom are not permanently attached as that would seem like a formula for breakage as surely someone will walk into it and break the globe, the glasses or the liquor. Worse yet, that could break all three~! I also have pictures of some of the nicks on the piece. There are probably a few more. But they are all small and don't really deter from the beauty of this old world globe. It was made in Italy and the stamp on the underside clearly indicates that. Here's some measurements: size of the globe: diameter is 8" the outer ring is: 17" the height is: 22" there are small nob feet on the bottom. They are about 1" high the bottom shelf would be perfect to store additional glasses the inside is perfect to store liquor bottles and more glasses you can also use any of the spaces to store the ice and tools if needed

Super Art Deco 12" CRAM'S Universal Terrestrial World Globe late 1930s
This fantastic late 1930's CRAM'S Universal Terrestrial GLOBE is a great find in great condition! The globe itself is a 12" size. The overall height. With base& meridian, is 17" it is approximately 13.5" at its' widest; the base diameter is 8" The look is so right: the original true blue has aged to more of an aqua blue(just what collectors are looking for) it has an impressive. Heavy, cast iron full meridian, painted to look like brass; it's bronze-look metal base has an art deco stepped design. Not only is the look there. But the condition is as well(see my many pics) The globe is sturdy& tight; there's no separation at the equator as is found on many vintage globes; very little discoloration(at a few of the seam lines only) or missing pieces of the paper surface(here& there very inconsequential ... morebits have scuffed off) The cast iron meridian& metal base surfaces are in excellent condition- there's even some gold striping on the"bronze" base. All in all, a very well-constructed vintage globe, meant to last, it surely has! By itself the globe weighs a hefty 4 lbs. Carefully packed for shipping it will weigh 6 3/4 lbs. Spins smooth, base has a little wear around the edge ... morerim of base and just a couple spots of rust, also a little wear of paint on edges on the arm of the stand.
