There are no chips or cracks on the glass but small amount of fine surface scratches and scuffs on the etched surface. The sugar bowl is marked on the bottom with Taste your way/ NESCAFE/ JAPAN and measures approx. 3 1/2" wide opening x 3" tall with lid on. The lid measures approx. 3 3/8" across and 3/4" deep and both pieces are completely free of chips or cracks on the glass surface but the etched surface has fine surface scratches and scuffs. The pole is connected to a 10" diameter metal base. The globe measures 12" in diameter and is mounted on it's axis by a rotating plastic gold colored support beams. It was made in the USA and dates from the mid 20th Century- marked Made in USA. This globe does not lift off the stand and SWIVELS around 360 degrees. The metal based looks like someone attempted to polish- base measures 11" wide. Since this is an old item- there is some discoloration on globe. As well as scuffs and marks. Vintage 1985 World Scan-Globe Lighted w/Pinpoint Spotlight ~ Denmark Karl Harig
I am offering a vintage 1985 World Scan Globe made in Denmark by Karl F. Harig. Cartographer. It has a lighted globe that also features a Pinpoint Spotlight and being able to move it and place it on any location on map by adjusting the Latitude and Longitude dials. The rotating portion of globe is approx 12" it stands approx 17" tall, base is approx 8" in diameter and all in like new condition. I purchased this new and was on desk for a very short while and has been safely stored for several years. My one picture shows close-up of paper on base bottom, it is the instructions for changing the light globe. The colors on the globe are more outstanding in person than my pictures show. J. CHEIN & CO. 71/2 inch World Tin Litho Globe Zodiac Seasons Months & More!
I have up for auction a J. Chein& Company Tin Litho 7 1/2 inch globe. I am not certain of it's age but it is probably from the 1950's to 1960's. The globe spins freely and the colors are bright. It does have some minor rusting. There are a couple of small scratches and the base has something on it near August and September(please see picture) I did not try to remove whatever this is for fear of damaging the paint. All in all it is a nice little globe and it looks great sitting on a shelf! Shipping weight for this item will be in the 3 pound range. I prefer shipping Priority mail. If this is your preference. Vintage Danish Denmark Scanglobe world globe 1970s
This is a nice vintage world globe made by Scanglobe of Denmark. I think it dates from the 1960s or 1970s. It does have a light fitting so that it lights up from inside but this has not been electrically tested so I am selling the globe as a decorative item and not as a working lamp. Small mark on outside of bottom of base Imperial World Globe. Seal: Copyright The George F. Cram Company. Inc. Indianapolis, Indiana Made in U.S.A. No indication of the year that I can find. But the USSR still exists and Vietnam is not divided into North and South. The globe has a metal. Brass colored base and stands approximately 16 inches tall. There is an"Analemma" showing the sun's declination for every day of the year; also the Equation of Time.
