Sono riportate le principali rotte navali con le relative distanze chilometriche. Le rotte aeree e le principali linee ferroviarie dell'epoca. Si tratta di un interessante mappamondo da collezione. Da arredamento, di valore storico e geografico, anche grazie alle sue più che buone condizioni, e anche di un certo interesse per il mercato antiquario. Mappamondi di questo tipo non se ne trovano ormai molti. The see-through front and back magnifier case crystals permit viewing of the entire mechanical movement and observation of the balance wheel as it rotates back and forth after winding the watch. This unusual timepiece can be used three different ways: 1. Attach the matching chain and place it around the neck to be worn as a pendant watch. 2. Unhook the safety style jewelery brooch pin and attach it to your favorite garment. 3. Hang it up on the acrylic display stand as shown in the last photo for desk or shelf. The hand cut Swarovski leaded crystal at the bottom of the watch glistens brightly when light hit it. The watch stops and starts and may need a cleaning. I am not a watchmaker. This Auction is for this cool vintage U.S. Marines Camp Pendleton cigarette lighter. It has the Marines Globe& Anchor Insignia on the front. Made by Ronson. Ronson is printed on the end of the lid and on the bottom of the lighter. Good vintage condition with typical wear and scratches from use and age. Lighter does strike but needs lighter fluid. Antique Art Deco 1920s Framed Brass Sign Globe Underwriters Agency New York
1920's brass embossed Globe Underwriters Agency New York sign mounted in an oak frame. Lettering and graphics painted black. Greek key design border. Measures 25" by 19 1/4" total. Globe Underwriters of New York insurance company operated during the 1920's. Brass sign and oak frame appear to be all original with the exception of the metal hanger that was added to the back of the frame at some recent point. The brass shows discolorations from age and there are small chips in the paint, otherwise it's in great condition. Thanks for looking.

He actually does rotate around the tower when the globe is wound up& playing the song. There are roof tops and glitter snow also inside the globe. The base depicts a raised scene with figurines of the Darling children- Wendy. John(in top hat with umbrella) Michael(who is holding his teddy bear) as Peter teaches them to fly. Tinkerbell takes the lead of the soaring group. This barrister top is from a bookcase in an old library. It ids quite large. Measuring 41 1/4" wide and 17 1/4" deep. The finish looks original. It has some wear as shown, but I think it could be improved with some wax and time. There is some separation to the seam on the top where the veneer sections meet. For your consideration is this Antique Mandolin Round Bowlback Mother of Pearl Inlay Globe Musical Instrument Co. The mandolin measures approximately 24 1/2" long by 7 3/4" wide and 6" deep. The sticker inside reads: Globe Musical Instrument Co. The Globe Registered, NEW YORK#3388. Features: Beautiful mother-of-pearl inlay around the sound hole and outer edges. Tortoise shell pick guard. The mandolin also has mother-of-pearl inlay position marks on the fingerboard. The rounded back has 21 small ribs flanked by two larger ribs joining the back to the body. The tuning pegs are celluloid or possibly ivory and the fret board appears to be rosewood. This is an 8-string mandolin and appears to date from the early 1900's. CONDITION: Near the inlaid sound hole on the mandolin there is one darker spot on the finish. Along the edge ... moreof the front of the mandolin there is some residue. Not sure what it is. There is some minor spots or soiling on the front. There are a couple tiny splits on the tortoise shell but no chips or missing pieces. There is some age splits on the rosewood fret board but it is intact with no chips. There is a tiny separation between one of the small ribs on the bowlback of the mandolin. There is also a couple spots with some sort of residue located on the bowlback of the mandolin as well. Thank you Madagascar click image to enlarge click image to enlarge This finely engraved original antique hand coloured scarce approx. 1/4 sheet part Globe Gore map section- from Coronellis 42in Globe- of the Island of Madagascar and the SE African coast- was published by Vincenzo Maria Coronelli(1650- 1718) in the 1693 Venice edition of Libro dei Globi. I have included a image below of the complete view of Coronellis Eastern Globe Gores so you can see where these gores fit the globe. The image ... morebelow is an example only. From Rodney Shirleys"The Mapping of The World" The original globe gores for the 42in Terrestial& Celestial Globes were printed on 12 full length sheets- with two polar calottes- in 1688. To help fit into Coronellis future publications of Atlante Veneto. Libro dei Globi and Isolario dell' Atlante Veneto the gore sheets were re-issued as the same size but cut into smaller sections. This effectively allowed the gores to be published but instead of one sheet per gore there were cut into 2. 4 or 6 sections to make the one gore sheet. The first edition of Coronelli's 3 ½-foot celestial globe was engraved by Nolin in Paris after drawings provided by the Italian geographer and was printed in 1688. At the same time. Its terrestrial counterpart was engraved and printed in Venice under Coronelli's direction. These globes were produced in part as replicas of the gigantic and unique 15 foot-diameter pair of globes that Coronelli constructed and presented to Louis XIV, the King of France, in 1683, and which secured his fame as Europe's premier globe maker.
