The globe measures approximately 4 1/2" in diameter. The stand is approximately 5 3/4" square at its base and 4 3/4" tall. The globe is mounted on a wooden ring that fits into the stand to rotate on its axis. The ring is approximately 6" in diameter and 1/2" wide. The stand is notched so that the ring and globe fit into it securely. The globe has a long metal pin that runs through its center allowing it to spin. The globe slightly moves up and down on this pin and it may be necessary to move it very slightly to the center of the pin so that it rotates freely. These little guys were mixed in with one of my Dad’s many glass collections and need to move on to a new home that will care for them. The tallest one is 4 ¼” and the little small one is 1” tall. All are in great shape except for the little one who is missing his wing tip. The black and gold one is brass. The others are glass. UPDATE to orig. post: the tall green one is not glass. This unique candle holder is 12" tall with the globe on. The tube that holds the candle is 6 7/8" long. 3/4" wide and has 2 splits. Amazing 19th c gimbal balanced globe whale ship oil lamp
This is a chance to own a wonderful piece of maritime history for the collection or to use as a focal. Taliking point decorators piece. Research as shown me that it is probably a whaling ship old lamp from the 19th century. It is of a gimbal, riveted cage design so the lamp that carries the flame remains level even if the ship is rolling. As my picture demonstrates the lamp unbelievably still works though the flame dies out after a half a minute or so, the wick looks very greasy. The ironwork on the lamp is tarnished with a light coat of oxidation that would sand down quite easily but that would remove the patina, the history. It still has it's loop for hanging attached to a wheatear like engraved plate and it still has the pin that secures the hinged top and bottom. The inside bits are greasy and dusty and the lamp doesn't always ... moresit level but all these I'm sure can essily be remedied in the right hands. It measures approx 6.5" tall and approx 21" around it's circumference. This is a beautiful and historic thing to own so please don't miss out. This is a beautiful ORIGINAL old Indiana Railroad Adams& Westlake lantern with Clear ADLAKE KERO Globe. The Indiana Railroad was incorporated in 1930. Going bankrupt and being abandoned in 1941. This lantern was won at a recent Railroadiana Estate Auction of a major railroadiana collector from Indiana and was covered with a ton of aluminum paint that looked like it had been applied with a broom. Looked so bad that I was forced to clean it, and is now in excellent condition. The frame is very strongly embossed“ I.R.R. on the shoulder in ¼” lettering. Slight ding on the crown top. Otherwise absolutely no other dents, dings, gouges or rust in the smoke dome or crown top(see photos) The single wire guard frame is embossed with a“4-36” Manufacturer’s Date(4 th Quarter– 1936) Has absolutely no dents, dings, gouges, rust or bent wires, ... morestands straight, has been covered with a clear coating to protect its finish and is in excellent condition. It comes complete with the correct insert Adlake 300 pot and burner in excellent used condition, with no apparent holes of any kind. The ORIGINAL Corning 3¼" Globe is strongly embossed“ADLAKE KERO” in ⅜” lettering and is in excellent condition with the lightest of rim flaking. This beautiful lantern is in excellent condition. The lamp itself could use a new cord but is otherwise. In great condition for it's age. The globe is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has some really nice bubbles in it which can be viewed in picture number 7. there is one flat spot on the rim of the globe but it is just that.a flat spot, not a chip. It fits inside the globe holder of the lamp well but is not the original globe this lamp had. That was probably broken years ago. The diameter of the globe opening is 3 1/4" and it is 5 1/2" tall. Neat very old advertising glass globe iced tea beverage holder container with spigot but no lid. Great Polar bear graphics proclaiming'Drink Iced Tea' Large in size and heavy! approximate measurements: 33.5" circumference. 10.5" diameter, 6.5" opening on top, 9" tall, almost 5lbs in weight. I think it would hold at least a gallon of beverage. The spigot is an ivory bakelight? early plastic material. Great shape for such and old piece: Glass is clear and has some bubbles thru-out. no cracks in the globe, some internal scratches throughout, a smear of white paint near the top.

This is a nice 4 stack antique barrister bookcase marked Globe Wernicke. This piece came out of the Dept.of State in Washington. DC and still has the old stickers. All the glass fronts are intact with no damage. Door slides work fine; one was recently replaced. All sections have the original finish with slight color variations and non matching old brass knobs. There is no significant damage only some minor stains and scratches obtained over the years. In total you are purchasing 6 pieces: 4 cabinets. A top, and a legged base. Each separate cabinet is approximately 33” wide x 13”deep x 14 3/4” tall. Total height of the case is approximately 72” Please see all photos. It comes from smoke free environment. Antique Stackable Sectional Book Case Display Globe Wenicke Co. 5 Piece Wooden
Up for sale today. I am offering an antique stackable sectional book case. This is a beautiful antique. The wood is all original. To me, it looks like mahogany but I cannot be sure. The wood has some cracking and wear that is typical with wooden antiques. However, they are pretty solid and still in great condition, especially for their age. These all stack in a specific order. They look wonderful when all stacked together. A couple of these still have their The Globe Wernicke Co stickers on them. The glass is in great condition on all the sections as well. The top section has two knobs. Sections 2-4 have one knob in the center of the front. The last section has one knob on one side and it seems as if there is a missing knob on the opposite side. Super Art Deco 12" CRAM'S Universal Terrestrial World Globe late 1930s
This fantastic late 1930's CRAM'S Universal Terrestrial GLOBE is a great find in great condition! The globe itself is a 12" size. The overall height. With base& meridian, is 17" it is approximately 13.5" at its' widest; the base diameter is 8" The look is so right: the original true blue has aged to more of an aqua blue(just what collectors are looking for) it has an impressive. Heavy, cast iron full meridian, painted to look like brass; it's bronze-look metal base has an art deco stepped design. Not only is the look there. But the condition is as well(see my many pics) The globe is sturdy& tight; there's no separation at the equator as is found on many vintage globes; very little discoloration(at a few of the seam lines only) or missing pieces of the paper surface(here& there very inconsequential ... morebits have scuffed off) The cast iron meridian& metal base surfaces are in excellent condition- there's even some gold striping on the"bronze" base. All in all, a very well-constructed vintage globe, meant to last, it surely has! By itself the globe weighs a hefty 4 lbs. Carefully packed for shipping it will weigh 6 3/4 lbs. Rand McNally& Co. 12-Inch Celestial Table Globe Chicago: Early 1960s 15.5 inches high; 8.25 inch diameter base Traditional constellation and zodiac figures are depicted on this celestial globe as light blue outline figures against a dark blue night sky. First through 5th magnitude stars of the constellations are colored yellow and shown in graduated size according to brightness. With star clusters and nebulae also indicated. The globe is mounted in a chromed metal gyromatic stand with a domed round base. The calibrated full meridian and full zodiac band– the latter with applied decal zodiac names and figures- independently rotate 360 degrees on a U-form bracket that is attached to the base.
