1960's era A.J. Nystrom Canvas backed World map w/out blank overlay
This is a 1960's era canvas backed pull down map. It does not have a date on it. But the number F98. It was made by A.J. Nystrom, and supposed to have a blank overlay with it, but looks like a previous owner has cut it off. The coloring is still bright, but the map has some wear and tear along the bottom. It has hung in the same classroom for over 40 years! There are areas along the bottom where the map has seperated from the canvas, and quite a bit of fraying along the edges. The map measures 44" by 65.25" fully extended, and comes with original hardware and mounting bracket. It pulls down and retracts without any problem. I will package it myself, encasing it with bubble wrap and then wrapping in cardboard. Making a box will cost twice as much. Shipping is actually $35.00 for weight, and I would charge $5 for packing materials.

Vintage Nystrom Classroom Pull Down Map This interesting map has two sections. The first section shows Europe at the outbreak of World War II. It illustrates annexations of Europe by Hitler and Mussolini to Sept. 1. 1939 The second section shows Europe in 1953. Illustrating the Atlantic Pact Countries and"Iron Curtain" countries, along with occupation zones of Germany and Austria. Full printed color lithography. This amazing map is 48 inches wide x 74 inches tall. Bracket increases width to 54" wide. Scale is 84 miles to the inch. There is some moisture damage on the bottom. Mostly visible on the reverse. Antique Vintage 12 inch Terrestrial globe NO BASE Johnston Nystrom Suspension?
Here's a great old paper covered terrestrial globe. Made by W& AK Johnston and distributed by A J Nystrom. Probably dates from the 1910s through 1920's. Measures 12" wide(globe only without ring) and has a cast iron ring. The globe is paper over tin. The condition is good for the age with one 2" dent on South America(will add photo) and some paper finish wear. No damage to cast iron. This was probably a table or floor model globe but is missing its cast iron base. A great opportunity to bring 2 lost pieces together and create a very valuable globe. A fellow Ebayer questioned whether this was actually a"suspension globe" that was designed to be suspended by a pulley and rope- another rare piece. No international shipping.

We are selling this teaching tool with ten(10) medical charts in very good condition for their age. Circa 1918-1935. They are a complete hanging set that pulls down like a shade. Two charts have clear tape repairs that are 4" to 6" long. This chart was used in a medical college for anatomical study. The colors and lithography are very vivid and clear. Pull Down World Map Nystrom V. C. Finch. Listed for the vintage map collector is this wonderful pull down map showing 2 world maps- one is a Finch World Products Series. Map No. 5 showing Cereal Crops-II and Rubber and one Finch World Products Series, Map No. 6 showing Cereal Crops- III. V.C. Finch was a Professor at the University of Wisconsin. The map measures approximately 60" x 49" The map has a canvas back and is in great condition for its age with just one small tear(see photo) I was told that this dated to the 1950's or earlier? Unfortunately the metal mounting is long gone and you would have to manually re-roll the map. I have no knowledge of this type of item so please ask all questions before buying as this is being sold in its found condition. If you need to see more pictures just let me know.
