This auction is for a Replogle 16" Lighted Globe with wood stand. World Horizon Series model. Has a 2-prong power plug and a switch for 2 different brightness settings. Bulb is working. Has a 3-legged wood base. Has some light damage to the wood on top of the stand which can be seen in pics 9& 12. Globe is a little dirty. I wiped it down quickly and everything cleaned off easily. The equator also has some light damage. I have taken pictures of all sides of the globe to best show condition. Modern Russia is marked as Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The weather stations gauges are mounted on a nice piece of cherry wood in very good condition that measures 10.5" X 7.5" The weather stations include a thermometer that measures in Celsius& Fahrenheit a barometer& a hydrometer that measures humidity. It has a cord with an on/off switch, has a hard plastic stand, has dials going each way on the stand so that you can dial in where you want to scan, has the numbered dial on the top, and I believe it is either a 12 or 14 inch globe(pretty much standard size) but I don't see where it says, it stands about 17-18 inches tall, the base is 8 1/4 by 7 3/4 inches, is a little dusty from sitting. We came across this beautifully lit globe with working light and map book at an estate sale here in Ohio; it's really in unbelievable shape for a 60+ year old piece. There are a couple of imperfections& small markings. But they do not begin to impair the beauty and history of this rare item. The Replogle World Atlas fits neatly into the metal base of this lighted 10 inch globe. Also found inside the book is a copy of"The Story of the Globe" dated 1954. That probably means the globe and atlas predate 1954. But I can't verify that. Bid with confidence; our feedback is perfect!

Up for bid is this Vintage Schlitz Rotating World Sign in really great shape! It was made in 1968. is in good working order and spins like it is supposed to. I don't see any chips or cracks on it but there are a few minor scratches here& there. It spins and lights up nicely& all of it's original stickers/tags are on the back. Even showing the original union label tag. It was made by the Schlitz Brewing Company of Milwaukee. WI. A great piece of Beer history and would make a good addition to someone's man cave. THIS ITEM UP FOR SALE IS: A REPLOGLE LIGHT UP GLOBE(World Premier Series) ON A 4-legged SHAPED WOOD STAND. THIS ITEM WAS PREVIOUSLY OWNED AND KEPT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I can't remember exactly when I bought if for my mother but it's around 30 years old or so. Mom has started to downsize the house. IT'S BEEN TESTED AND IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER. From a smoke free home. THE STAND HAS AN OAK WOOD STAIN FINISH AND THE GLOBE HAS A metal MERIDIAN. Ther e are some minor surface marks around the outside rim of the stand. Probably easily cleaned with a good wood cleaner. It's from rubbing against the wall. Roller switch turns light on and off. THIS PIECE IS GREAT AS A FURNITURE/ACCENT DÉCOR PIECE. THE GLOBE IS 12” INCHES IN DIAMETER. THE WOOD STAND IS 18” INCHES IN DIAMETER& 28” INCHES TALL without the globe. It is 56" ... morearound. THE GLOBE IS IN excellent CONDITION. AND STAND SHOWS no SIGNS OF wear. THE GLOBE IS EASILY REMOVABLE FOR EASY CLEANING. Local pick-up is always available. This will be disassembled for shipping. legs and posts/pillars screw off. Scan-Globe A/S World discoverer 12" lighted globe weather station Karl F Harig Gieseking Denmark The gauges on the weather station are all changing though I am not sure if they are accurate as this is a vintage item. they do respond to changes in the weather though. The plug end of the cord has been replaced. Has the original switch with about 6 feet of cord and then is spliced with another 4 feet or so of brown cord with a plug. Aprox 17" tall over all The base of the globe has dials for longitude& latitude and when you turn them a small spot light inside the globe moves to pinpoint the spot on the globe. I have not check this for accuracy either but it does move smoothly when you turn the dials. It may need to be adjusted once you set it up at home. The underside of the base has insurrections for changing the bulb- good thing ... moretoo as I would never have figured out how to open this thing! Super cool the way it all works though so I'm glad I was able to see inside!
