Droysens Allgemeiner Historischer Handatlas(Bielefeld und Leipzig: Verlag von Velhagen& Klasing. 1886) a copy of the title page is included for authenticity. The atlas was basically a collaboration of the German historian Dr. Gustav Droyesen with Richard Andrees, who was the director of the publishing company and like his father, Karl Andrees, was very involved in cartography and published several atlases including the great world atlas, Andrees Allgemeiner Handatlas. The maps are certainly some of the most thorough historical charts of the period and designed very well. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. There are half page maps of Italy and Spain in the 16th century on the reverse side. Overall. A very nice map that would frame up well. Size: The dimensions of the map area between the neat lines measures 9 by 14 1/2 inches(23x37cm) on a page measuring 11 by 16 1/2" 27x42cm) with a margin all around as seen in the main pic. Condition: The map is in Very Good condition. It is very clean with strong cerragraphic color on a bright page. Printed on a very stiff card stock follio page. It is basically as seen in the pics, see the pic for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map. Payment Details: We accept most major credit cards through Paypal and Ebay. Map showing daily position of front line Map room G-3, GHQ, May 24, 1919. 29th Engineers, U.S.A. Washington: U.S. Army, 1921. 1:80,000 scale. It is an original 1921 reproduction map. This document is in good condition. It has been folded for decades, so there are some damages at the folds. Once flattened and repaired, this will look great. Approximately 29 x 24 inches Please ask questions. Returns allowed within three days of receipt of good. Meuse-Argonne Offensive Summary: On August 30. 1918, the supreme commander of Allied forces, Marshal Ferdinand Foch, arrived at the headquarters of's 1st US Army. Foch ordered Pershing to effectively shelve a planned offensive against the St. Mihiel salient as he wished ... moreto use the American troops piecemeal to support a British offensive to the north. Outraged. Pershing refused to let his command be broken apart and argued in favor of moving forward wit the assault on St. Mihiel. Ultimately, the two came to a compromise.
