This is a nice Danish Globe with Lucite stand. and in good working condition. It has a Mid Century look. Great when lit, and in very good condition, no tears, no holes or damages. There is a little yellowing in a couple of places. It might be washable. Light works and there is a switch to turn it off and on on the cord. Marked: 1980 World Discovery Scan Globe Denmark. Replogle 12 Inch Diameter Lighted Globe on 4 Poster Stand Retro
This is the fabu Replogle lighted 12 inch diameter globe with 4 poster stand. The globe turns and spins as it should. The light works and it is very pretty to behold when the lights are off. All in all, it's pretty neat. The stand is in terrific shape, is solid and well crafted. The globe itself has some stains, but I don't know if it is the outside or the inside. I did not want to attempt to clean it, less I rub some of the writing off. I took a pic of a stain to give you a better idea of what it looks like. You can take a shot at cleaning it once you get it home. 15 bucks gets it shipped to your door with free insurance. As long as you live in the lower 48. It really is cool to look at, and it looks doubly cool sitting on its stand.

This has the time zone dial on top. This globe sold recently on an antique globe website for $300. It is in good shape no dents, rips or tears. THE IMPORTANT PARTS(Frame and Globe) ARE REALLY NICE and NOTE THE MONO(RMC) on FRONT CENTER MIDDLE AND HOW ORNATE THE FRAME IS WITH ORIGINAL FINISH AND PATINA to the faux BRONZE OVER HEAVY CAST IRON. Please note there is one small disoloration in the lower Pacific Ocean section of this piece. Who knows, perhaps a foreteller of the huge garbage mass currently floating in the Pacific. I believe this globe to have been manufactured c. 1930. After 1928 and before 1935. The following points seem to support this, and an expert can perhaps make a more definitive determination: Persia. Not Korea Union of South Africa Northern and Southern Rhodesia Leningrad Austria not yet annexed by Germany(1938) French West and Equatorial Africa Rhodesia divided into North and South Italian East Africa not yet showing Oslo Peking J. A geographer and cartographer, was a professor at the University of Chicago department of Geography in 1903 and later worked with Rand McNally to create maps and atlases and, around 1924, produced several models of globes. The Goode globes did not see mass production numbers as did the more common Rand McNally ones, and, consequently, they are not seen as frequently. Goode was born in 1862 and died in 1932. This vintage Replogle 10" Reference Globe has a heavy iron wire base. It stands around 14" high so is a nice desk size. I would place this globe in the 1940s to early 1950s. It has a scuff here and there and I have pictured the very worst condition issue in the 7th photo but overall its condition is used but certainly not abused. Notice the color is consistently good on this vintage globe. Please study the photos as I have tried to picture this from every angle. 16" Vintage Lighted Reploge Heritage Series Globe in Wood Floor Stand
This Beautiful 16" Diameter Vintage Reploge Globe just glows when illuminated! It sets in a handsome wood stand that is a medium toned wood(not sure of type of wood) The base is in very nice condition. There is a switch on the cord to turn the globe light on. The total cord measures 70" conveniently long. It measures 31"H x 22"W. As you see in the photos. There are small rips in the bottom of the globe and one small one a bit higherunder the word"ocean" All the rips are below the wood base when the globe is in normal position. I raised them higher for the pictures sake. I believe they are not unusual for the age of a lighted globe. Otherwise, it is stunning.
