Up for auction is this wonderful estate find 12" Hammond Terrestrial world globe with wood months ring and cast iron stand and features. This piece dates from the early 1900's most likey used in a school or college. This globe is in nice condition for surviving over a hundred years. All original parts including hardware. Wood months ring and cast metal parts. Wood ring very nice with all 12 months showing only age wear, globe has yellowing age wear and I'm not sure how to clean so I will leave this up to the buyer, also as seen in pictures there are some small area's of paper wear to globe but does not take away from the beauty and purpose of this globe. Vintage Replogle Heirloom 16 inch globe - illuminated - Wood Stand
VINTAGE Replogle 16 inch Illuminated Globe with wooden stand. Light has a high and low setting and is perfectly functioning. There are some scuffs/scratches on the stand(see photo) that can likely be corrected with a furniture marker. There is one small chip on the globe's skin(see photo) We have not attempted to correct any of the aged marks as noted above and have left the globe as is(did install a new bulb) Even with the minor imperfections. It comes with the gyro-disc stand. Over-all the globe is in great condition from having come from a school environment. It may have a little fading from sitting in the sun and one or two small scrapes but nothing that is very noticeable. For shipping the globe will be taken off the stand but it is only two washers and one lock nut that holds it in place so this should for the buyer to reassemble. Among the features on this great Old World Globe are depictions of all the signs of the Zodiac. This globe is not marked or identified as to origins. But appears to be of the type of globe that was made in Italy. The stand is a nice wood with turned columns and stands on four ball feet. It is in overall very good antique condition. With only slight scuffing to the edges of the wooden stand, which could be removed with a furniture polish. The globe itself, which is made to be lifted off of the stand, is covered with a heavy paper with a waxed surface, and is intact except for a couple of very slight creases where the seams meet, but fits tightly to the globe. The globes shows handling wear such as darkening stains and has minor scuffs and wear but overall it's in good condition and spins in the metal bracket. MID-CENTURY VINTAGE 1969 ORIGINAL REPLOGLE LUNAR MOON GLOBE with ORIGINAL STAND
Original 1969 Moon globe measures 6" in diameter. Is made of metal and includes the original plastic stand measuring 6 3/4" wide x 3 1/2" tall. Globe and stand are in very good condition. The stand has slightly discolored over time. As some plastics will do, but is in overall good to very good condition. Stand and globe would probably benefit from a gentle cleaning. Moon globe denotes several many lunar locations as well as landmarks of historical importance. Including the crash site of Ranger 4, the first unmanned spaceship to land on the moon, as well as the Sea of Tanquility- landing spot of Apollo 11. This is a really cool piece of vintage space race memorabilia and would make a great addition to any globe. Mid-century or atomic age collection.

You are viewing a Vintage. Gram's Imperial World Globe. It has a creamy tan old world color and it measures 12" in diameter. It is mounted on a wood stand and is in very nice condition. There are some minor white flecks from normal user ware and few small scratches on the bottom of the globe, but it's over all condition is great. Cram's Imperial World Globe was made in Indianapolis, Indiana USA. It has the Analemma which shows the sun's declination for every day of the year. It also has the flight miles for airlines flying to different parts of the country. It has the typical legend and scales that all globes have as well as nice looking illustrations showing ships, planes and emblems and the AM and PM disk on the top of the globe.
