Late 1930s Replogle "12 In Standard" Floor Globe-Walnut Phyfe Base-Expnd Germany
Offered is this vintage"12 inch Standard Globe" floor world globe. Made by Replogle. The globe features a Duncan Phyfe style four-legged walnut wood base and a white metal full meridian and stands approx. 36" tall. The globe apparently dates to the late 1930s. The Japanese puppet nation of Manchukuo is shown. Korea is labeled"Chosen" and an expanded Germany is present. With the word" Austria" still shown but no border for it and Slovakia shown but not Czechoslovakia. An interesting note: Tannu Tuva" is shown as an independent country between the USSR and Mongolia. Even though it was only recognized as independent by those two countries. Main railroad lines and steamship routes and distances are shown in red while ocean currents are shown with white directional arrows. The walnut base is in very good ... morecondition. With just a few minor scuffs and scrapes. The white metal meridian is also generally very good. Although there are some areas of light corrosion along the edge. Unfortunately the globe itself does have damage in many places. The worst areas are at the North and South Poles(see photos#8 and#9) Because of this. The globe naturally wobbles a bit when turning, but does turn fairly freely. There is also a gap at the equator. But the two halves seem in no danger of coming apart(photo#10) Other damaged areas include a triangle about 2 1/2" x 2" x 2" of missing map surface(and even a bit of underlying cardboard) west of Peru(no land area affected-photo#11) A small amount(less than 1 sq. in. of map surface missing in North Africa and the Mediterranean and a tiny amount missing in Germany. There are also a few spots with light scratches and scrapes. The worst being between Hawaii and the Replogle logo(photo#12) I also see a shallow dent near the intersection of the equator and the International Date Line. Despite these problems. Nice patina to the globe. Light works, cord is original and may need to be looked at/re-wired. Stand has old original finish and has some finish wear in places. Stand is sturdy. The last picture shows 1 foot with a small piece of wood missing, still stands well. Globe has several areas of scratches and some minor soiling. Selling as-is. Stand is about 26 1/2" tall. This listing is for very scarce Denoyer& Geppert metal floor globe for use in Aviation/Military project planning and training. These are rarely seen but the floor models are nearly extinct. This was used. The surface shows typical consistent wear, pitting, corrosion, scratches etc. However there are NO dents, or dings, no repairs, no damage. This has a nice even patina from top to bottom, moving parts are good, estate find being sold as found, no cleaning or touch up has been done. See photos please. This is a Cram 12" IMPERIAL Floor Globe on a Wood Stand. Made by the George F. Cram Co. Indianapolis, Indiana. The globe has a raised, textured relief. It has a metal meridian which is attached to the turned wood spindle base with a screw. The globe spins freely and can be turned upside down in its' gyroscopic mounting. The globe is in excellent condition with strong, non-faded colors. The globe itself is 12" in diameter with a total height of 33" including the base. The globe show very minor defect on the paper gores,few nicks,and on the base,you will find minor rust.this will be taken apart,to ship easily,just screw the globe back onto the spindle.

This is a very nice Brass Lamp with Walnut inlays on the Stem and Globe Surround.This lamp is in original condition with no repairs.The cord in in nice shape.No cracks on the globe and the switch works fine.The white Globe is original to this lamp.it fit's nicely in the surround.The base of the lamp measures 8.5" x 8.5" and the height is 65.5"The circumference of the Globe Surround is 43.75" and the Glass Globe is slightly smaller.The weight is around 15 lbs.It does have some signs of minor patina consistent with it's age and use but looks great!This floor lamp will be a nice addition to your Mid Century Modern/ Retro room!I prefer to sell it as local pick-up but will ship it. probily in 2 boxes) for the actual amount of shipping and price of boxes from the UPS store.

Painted Blue and Pink Opaque Glass Shade for Antique Arm or Floor Lamp Globe
This is an unusual frosted or opaque shade or globe. It has light blue on the top and bottom and flowers painted pink. It has a nice raised design with a fluted or lined design and a decorative raised border around the bottom. It is 5 1/4 inches tall. The top opening is 2 1/4 outside and 1 7/8 inches inside diameter. The bottom opening is 4 1/8 inches outside and 3 3/4 inside diameter. The bottom edge has 2 chips on the inside of the ridge. The outside of the glass is still there the chip is inside. It has chipping in the bottom rim and the top rim. Very unique.

Vintage Rare Illuminated Lighted 1939 12 inch Terrestrial Cram's World Globe This listing is for a vintage illuminated 1939 12 inch Terrestrial Cram's World Globe. This intact glass globe depicts a rare brief moment in time: the German expansion was underway and Austria and Prussia are shown as part of Germany. Poland has not yet been invaded. Ethiopia is shown as Italian East Africa. Taiwan is shown as Formosa and Manchuria as Manchoukuo, with both under Japanese control. Korea is shown as Chosen. Israel does not yet exist. This globe has a 12 inch diameter and was made by the George F. Cram Company, Indianapolis, Indiana. It has a switch at the south pole which turns the globe on and off. The semi ring has a threaded bolt at the top which can be removed in order to take the globe off the floor stand and replace the light bulb. The ... morebase is wood. It is a full floor model and the legs have brass feet. This was obviously the deluxe model! Condition: Some oxidation on time dial at North Pole. Some dark spots(stains) and a few tiny paper losses(see pictures) It appears the metal semi-ring was painted bronze at some time in the past. Nice finish on the wood base. Works perfectly. Up for auction is this vintage Replogle globe purchased by my husband in the late 1980's or very early 1990's. This globe still has the USSR labeled! The base detaches from the stand and the globe could be displayed on desktop. The light patches visible in the pictures is my flash- I'm not the best photographer! It is in excellent condition with the exception of a little tarnishing on the antique brass colored base and just along the edge of the wood on the stand. I'm a bit of a neat freak and used to dust the base with whatever cleaning solution I had on my rag. So it took a bit of the finish off the wood edge! The piece measures approx. 6" tall by 6" across and the openings are 2 1/4" at the top and 4 7/8" at the bottom. It is as we found it in nice looking used condition. With no apparent chips or cracks but some roughness around the opening and possible paint decoration loss, all from age, use, and storage. NICE Nova Magellan Semi Precious Gemstone World Globe Floor Model Illuminates
Up for auction we have this Gorgeous Nova Magellan Semi Precious Gemstone and Brass Floor Model World Globe. The oceans are a gorgeous Rose Red Pearl and some 190 semi precious gemstones make up the different countries across the globe. The globe is handmade and takes up to 200 man hours to make each one. The globe measures approx. 37" tall and 16" across. New these globes sell for right around $975.00 It is in beautiful condition. And this piece illuminates as well as rotates. While the light works great, we have noticed that the motor for the rotating of the globe may be slowly wearing out or coming off the track. The globe will spin for a little bit and then stop. You can however still hear the motor turning. We came to the conclusion that either the motor is slowly wearing out like mentioned before, or the turner on the inside ... moreof the globe which makes the globe rotate, may just be off its track a little. The motor can be easily replaced as well as if the motor is just off track a little, that would be an easy fix too. We are leaving it up to the buyer to do this. You are viewing a Vintage. 1960's-1970's Replogle, World Nation Series Globe. Made by Replogle Inc. USA. It stands 32" tall. I photographed some of the countries that verify the age of the globe. The photo's will show a unified Vietnam and Somalia. The globe is 12" in diameter. It has a modern danish wood carved pole that is mounted to a metal base stand. It has some slight user ware which is normal for vintage globes. The globe is a nice muted blue with colorful countries dotting the oceans. Please view all the photos and email me for questions. VINTAGE REPLOGLE WORLD CLASSICS SERIES 12 GLOBE with FLOOR STAND, VINTAGE REPLOGLE WORLD CLASSICS SERIES 12 GLOBE with FLOOR STAND This Vintage 12 inch Diameter World Classics Series Globe on the Turned Wood and Metal Floor Stand was made by Replogle with LeRoy M. Tolman Cartographer. But there are no dates marked. It stands 36 inches tall, the globe rotates around freely in 2 directions, the brass base is 10 inches wide, the carved turned wood pole is 16 inches long, and overall is in pretty good condition for its age and use, there is some slight discoloration or sun fading, but no holes, tears or stains. It comes off the floor stand with a simple wing nut and I will be shipping it dismantled to help save on shipping costs, but it is also designed so that you could eliminate the wood pole and reattach to the metal base to be used atop ... morea table or desk rather than as a floor stand.
