Vtg 1938 REPLOGLE STANDARD 12" World Globe w/ Walnut FLOOR STAND Rare HTF
This is a very nice piece of history. This globe will give you hours of entertainment and education about our world. Every time I look at this globe I am amazed at just how large our planet is. Secondly I am amazed at the fact that they were able to lay this world out on a globe like this one at that time in our history not to mention even before those times. I think the globe is from 1938 because Burma shows separate from India and this was pre- 1937 in our history and Siam wasn't yet Thailand which occurred in 1939 if I am not mistaken.The cast metal full ring meridian and cradle look beautiful. It has a Duncan Phyfe style walnut finish hardwood floor stand with a turned baluster column and four fluted legs. The globe measures 12" in diameter and stands 36" tall. There is a light coloration on Africa. Which I took a photo ... moreof and there is a chip of wood missing from one of the legs. This chip has no affect on the support or balance of the stand. RARE VINTAGE DANISH MODERN SCULPTURAL CAGED GLOBE LAUREL FLOOR LAMP This is a rare vintage Laurel floor lamp circa 1970s. The pedestal base measures 39" H and is made of solid wood board with a layer of teak wood veneer. There is some minor spots buckling to the teak wood veneer and a tiny knicks at bottom of the pedestal. Otherwise the lamp is in overall great vintage condition and displays well. The glass globe is 12" diameter and is surrounded by a modernist brushed nickel cage. The cage is 18" in diameter. The total height of the lamp is 59" inches-almost 5 feet tall. Weighs 25lbs. Vintage All-Brass Double Globe Floor Lamp Circa 1930
This elegant all-brass. Double-globed, floor lamp, Circa 1930 is gem to behold and an utter treat to enjoy, whether reading a newspaper, writing a grocery list, or spending a little conversation time with family or friends. It is definitely the kind of piece that sets a tone. Curled, catlike, in my favorite overstuffed chair, the lamplight low, and multiple brass highlights glinting warmly, it suddenly feels like a simpler, sweeter time. Nobody makes them like this one anymore. That's for sure. The original electric cord has been replaced with a new 12-ft. one, for extra reach, but the original, non-polarized, Bakelite plug, manufactured in Haiti by GE remains intact. And when I call this beauty"all-brass, I do mean just that- the lampshades harken back to a time not so far removed from the era of gas lighting, fabric and paper lampshades ... morewere not yet altogether acceptable. These original lampshades are both of solid, painted brass. The original cream-colored paint and undercoat had peeled to nearly nothing and has been meticulously matched in the repainting of the shades. The bright glow of the brass is no treated effect, it is accomplished by painstaking hand polishing of the metal- which responds delightfully. MEASUREMENTS: Weight- 11lbs. Height- 49 inches. Base is 10 inches in diameter. Sloping 1-3 inches thick, and weighted. Lamp Width at globe level- 18 inches from shade-edge to shade-edge. Decorative cup standing between the shades measures 7 inches in height and 3.5 inches in diameter at its widest point. Each shade is 10 inches in diameter at its base and 4 inches across its top. Vtg 1940s Weber Costello Floor Model 14" Terrestrial World Globe AS IS
I have up for sale a wonderful albeit damaged circa early 1940s WEBER COSTELLO Floor Model 14" globe World Globe. This is the first time that I have seen this particular base section- it is made of what appears to be either mahogany or teak. SOLD AS IS- IN NEED OF REPAIR OR FOR PARTS. The piece stands approx 35-1/2" to the top of the meridian and weighs between 9& 10 lbs. I believe that the globe dates somewhere in the early to mid 1940s- The Philippines is still THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES. As noted in the Condition Report- the globe itself has damage along the equator- some areas worse than others. In the worst areas- there is also some spots that have been painted and I notice approx 4 small nail heads that must have been used to hold the layers in place. Besides the wear and damages along the equator. There is one ... morespot of paper loss, this is in the USSR where the world SOVIET would be, this is shown in the last pic. Please use the pics to help assess the damages. The base is in good shape- it is made of either mahogany- possibly teak. There is one small nick and the finish has some light wear. it should be gone over with some oil or something of the sort. Overall the base is in very good shape. Any wear is acceptable. VINTAGE CRAM'S IMPERIAL WORLD GLOBE This wonderful old globe is in used but very nice condition. A floor standing model featuring the wood spindle stem with metal base. The base has a few scuffs and marks but remains nice, the wood stem is in very nice condition with no cracks or damages, and the globe itself is in wonderful condition with the equator intact! Globe is a 12" diameter size, the whole thing has a total height of about 35" This is an older representation, with the USSR still intact. The white spots in pictures are reflections of my lights.

Herigage Collection 16" FLOOR MODEL GLOBE on STAND 1985 WORLD
Heritage Collection. 1985, globe on floor stand. I believe this is a 16" diameter globe. This is a used item, and it has some flaws, however overall it is still a nice piece and you can get it for a fraction of a new item.This does have a cord for lighting up, however the bulb needs replaced. The stand has some knicks in this- I polished out many of the scratches but some are still visible. There is a small mark in'Russia' where the map has a small tear(about the size of a pencil eraser) and as you can see in one photo, one portion of the bottom of the globe is missing the map. This is not highly visible since it is near the bottom of the globe and if the globe is turned the right direction, you won't see this at all.Approx. 40" tall overall, and stand is on wheels for easy moving.Not in perfect condition, but still ... morea nice overall globe. And of course, for a low starting price. I will disassemble this for shipping purposes. God bless.

1935 Replogle 16 Inch Globe with Sheraton Floor Stand
Original Sheraton Style 1935 Replogle Library Globe The globe is surmounted by a brass hour ring in a calibrated full meridian. With revolving horizon band, and paper calendar and zodiac. The mahogany stand is in the Sheraton style, supported by four circular tapering legs. The stand is American made but in the English style, typical of the 1930s. This early lighted globe with the Sheraton stand is extremely rare and was likely manufactured as a deluxe model. Istanbul instead of Constantinople is shown indicating post 1929. And Manchukuo is shown, indicating post 1930. I believe it to be dated to between 1930 and 1935. The map includes Canals, Caravan Routes, Deserts, Mountains, Ocean Currents, Glaciers, Swamps, Peaks, Railroads, Routes and Archaeological Ruins. Up for sale is a wonderful vintage circa late 1930s to mid 40s GEORGE F CRAM CO 12" Terrestrial World Globe- Duncan Phyfe Wood Floor model base with the globe surmounted by a metal hour disk in calibrated full meridian- in rotating meridian fork. This is the deluxe floor model. The globe dates between 1936- 1945 as Manchoukuo is shown- which was earlier known as Manchuria. ITALIAN SOMALILAND is shown east of Ethiopia and I believe this area was under Italian authority only until 1941. I can not be exact but I would guesstimate it would date to somewhere between the late 1930s and early 40s. If you go to ebay item number 310874771939 you will find an old circa 1944 advertisement for Cram Globe. This exact same model is called their DeLuxe Floor Model. Now they may have used this exact same style for a number of years but it gives you ... moresome reference. The globe stands approx 36" tall. Has a base diameter of 17-1/2" and measures approx 16" diameter across the metal meridian holder. The globe is in good estate fresh- as found condition. Not perfect- there are a couple areas of noted paper wear or imperfection- nothing significant but shown in the pics and noted in the condition report. The base is excellent as is the metal meridian ring. I will package in one large box and send fully insured.
