Vintage Mexico / C. America / West Indies School Pull-Down Map Denoyer-Geppert
This is a Vintage School Pull-Down Map of Mexico. Central America, and West Indies. The map is in excellent condition. There is NO damage to the map. But the map has detached from the roller. It appears that the top portion of the map was stapled to the roller(see photo 12) It should be an easy fix if you have a staple gun. The roller seems to work, but I am not positive because the map is not attached. The map has a wood handle at the bottom with a metal hoop. The roller is made by HARTSHORN. The roller reads- Hartshorn Self-Acting Roller" The bottom of the map reads as follows- Denoyer-Geppert Co. Chicago" The lower right-hand corner of the map reads- Constructed& Printed by W& AK. Johnston Limited Edinburgh& London" photo 4) This company started making maps in the 1800s. The map has a wood hanging board with ... moretwo hooks behind the top roller(photo 11) I estimate the map to have originated from the early 1900s. The copyright date at the bottom is somewhat confusing because it reads- P/ 4/ 7 1/2 C. The map itself. Not including borders/margins. Measures 41" tall& 52" wide. The wood handle measures 57" long. The map is made of heavy gauge paper. But the reverse seems to be a canvas. But I am not positive.

Hello this is the Circulatory Schematic Rhythmic pumping action initiates pulsing“blood circulation” Ingeniously engineered. This fully-functional schematic replica portrays a frontally-sectioned human heart showing all four chambers, valves, and major vessels of the cardiovascular system. Antique 12-inch Denoyer-Geppert Globe marked 1967 edited by C.B. Odell Cartocraft Beginners. It is a vintage globe that has a cool design. But does show age/wear. There are some scratching, dirt marks, water stains, a hole and some peeling with one rough spot in particular. The base has tarnish and a hole(Not sure why or if it came that way or not, see pictures) While certainly not a mint globe you can see from the pictures that the base is unique and graphics are also unique due to the font and style. There is chalk residue on both sides. There is a red line across the world side mid to upper portion that would not come off with a damp cloth. We are not sure if it is red chalk or marker. The map is detaching from the wood pull down bar on one end. This should be a relatively easy fix. But we will leave that to the buyer. The map extends and retracts as designed. Denoyer Geppert World Pyhsical Political Map 63" X 40" Pull Down 1967 Awesome
This is a 1967 Denoyer Geppert World Physical and Political Map. The map section measures 63" wide by 40" tall. The spring loaded roll up bar is there but not the frame that holds it. This map has just awesome vintage color. There are plenty of small holes and wrinkles but they have been clear taped over and the map still displays fantastic. Look at the pictures closely and you will see the major flaws. I want to be honest and say that if you are looking for a collectors grade map this ain't it. But this is a really bright. Highly colorful, map that shows great and would make a great wall decoration, Thanks for looking.

The base has a great modernist/ retro look. And would be right at home on the set of"Mad Men. The globe was manufactured in Chicago. Illinois. There is no date printed on the globe, but based on the names of certain nations and cities we can date this globe to about 1959. There are two different holes in the base. So that the globe can either stand straight up vertically. Or at the Earth's 23 degree axis tilt. The globe lifts out of the holes easily so you must hold the base when carrying the globe. The surface is easily readable in normal lighting. Various small wear age spots which can be seen in ... morethe photos. This is to be expected in a globe of this age. There are no dents or holes in the globe. The base and rotating bezel is made of handsome wood and the globe turns on a rotating chromed steel ring. This globe is a fascinating. This vintage Dennoyer-Geppert pull-down classroom map dates to 1945. As shown. It has wear and tear, and the metal rod that this would have been mounted on to pull down in the classroom is missing. It has a linen backing so the tears shown mostly do not go all the way through, and the map is not fragile despite the wear. I photographed it soon after I purchased it fresh from long storage, and will not be cleaning it further now that I've photographed it; therefore do expect some dust, light soiling, and a typical slight musty smell from storage that should go away quickly. This is a 1968 Canvas map made by Denoyer-Geppert J1vr Visual-Relief United States with Mexico pull down map. The actual map measures 43.3" by 60" extended at its' full length. It has hung in the same classroom for over 40 years and has some slight wear and tear. There is a small puncture through the canvas on the lower right hand corner. As well as some fraying along the edges. The corner has also pulled away from the roller a tad bit on the lower left hand side. It has the original hardware and mounting brackets, and pulls down/retracts without any problems. To ship I will wrap it entirely in bubblewrap, then cardboard, as making a box will cost twice as much.

1967 Denoyer-Geppert Co. J9vr Visual-Relief-Commercial-World pulldown map. This map has hung in a classroom for over 40 years. Original brackets and mounting hardware attached. Map pulls down and retracts without any problems. There is slight fraying around the edges. And map has pulled away from canvas, and roller on lower left hand side(see photo) Canvas is in good shape except for slight wrinkles on the back. Will wrap package in bubble wrap, then thick cardboard to ship, as shipping in a box would cost twice the amount.

Vintage Denoyer Geppert Classroom School Wall Map Sequence Map of Greece
This vintage Denoyer-Geppert classroom wall map is a sequence map of Greece. With four color-coded sections, as shown. It's the old-fashioned type of classroom map that's linen-backed and attached to wooden rods, without a spring roller or bulky hardware. It has a small metal ring for hanging. The map rolls up neatly and still has its original purple shoelace-cloth tie. The map has creases and wear. But is in generally good condition with still-bright colors and no significant soiling or tears. Please use zoom feature to see the condition of the map in better detail. The map measures 43&1/2 inches wide by 33&1/2 inches long(within the rods) and 47" wide and 35&1/4 inches long including the wooden rods. This is too wide to fit in a mailing tube. So I'll have to construct a triangular tube from a couple of large ... morecardboard boxes, but this will be carefully packed.

Vibrant Pull Down Map of the Boroughs of New York City. Map indicates major thoroughfares. Colleges, universities, public buildings, airports and parks. Map is not dated. But I believe this to be from the late 1950's to early 1960's. The map is identified with permanent marker on the wood end and exterior of the mounting fabric. Wood end dowel is split. There are a couple areas of puckering(see photos) But overall the map is in good condition. Colors are brilliant. Please see photos for condition. Hi. You are bidding on an old school roll down map dated 1963 by Denoyer and Geppert for Cartocraft. You can see the date. The gold foil label and the mark of Denoyer and Geppert. This map is approximately 4.5 feet by 6 feet. It is in good condition. There is one small spot that seems worn and it is a vintage map that is 50 years old, but the colors are great and I think you will be pleased with condition. It still has the wooden dowels.
