Russian STAR Celestial Globe made in 1974- Very good condition located in Spain
The navisphera is an instrument consisting of a celestial globe( with the biggest stars. Ecuador, times and parallel circles) a bracket mounted on a graduated circle(which may be the bottom of the box where it is stored) and a circle metal( Meridian) from where 3 or 4 quadrants together at one point. An instrument that was made and used between the late 30s and early 70s. Nearly all manufacturers of nautical instruments will they manufactured their own model. Latitude. Azimuth and height is entered. This method was discontinued, by not too accurate and the appearance of the Star Finders. Normally the world is mounted on a wooden box and tour area for the Southern/ Northern Hemisphere on itself. Degrees arcs and terminals are located on a removable part and has text written in latin language in this case. MADE IN URSS 1974 and Appears located ... morein a wooden box. This is a very nice and rare C.S Hammond& CO. INC 12 inch Celestial globe. This is a star map. It shows Constellations and Zodiacs. The base is steel with a copper plating. The arm is white metal. With the same copper color. I think it has to be 1940s or 1950s. There is not date on it that I could find. There are some very small nicks in the globe, please see photos. I have not been able to find another one.

A hard to find Rand McNally Celestial Globe. It is 12 inches in diameter and in very good condition. The globe is mounted by a clear hour ring. Rotating in an aqua coated metal stand with a round base. The calibrated full meridian and full zodiac bands independently rotate 360 degrees. The zodiac band has the zodiac names and figures. There is just a little place on the base with a little oxidation and maybe a few light surface scratches. Most of these are in the chromed base, this one is in a vibrant turquoise. Very nice! This is an old brass armillary sphere with two rings sitting on a 3-3/8 inch diameter base. Inside of the rings is a round sphere and arrow. The length of the arrow is about 10-1/8 inches. The rings are 4 inches diameter and the overall height of the piece is about 8-3/4 inches. This vintage piece is in good condition. Normal wear and patina for an old brass collectible. This Large 17" tall Model 1977 Farquhar Celestial Navigational Lucite Globe is an amazing find! I do not have the Lucite base/compass that this gorgeous piece originally sat on. The globe contains these features: Star Magnitude. Legend, Multiple Stars, Variable Stars, Other Objects and Gallactic Boundaries The ecliptic circle and celestial names/ constellations are printed inside of the celestial globe so as to be viewed from the earth at center. A movable transparent plastic meridian ring A movable representation of the sun(which are designed for manual operation to present the positions of the sun and stars at any particular time) are mounted inside the celestial globe. The outer Star Globe has porthole so you can reach inside for easy access. Condition: Given the age of the item. The piece is in great condition. The plastic is clear ... moreand free of scratches. I have not cleaned it at all as I didn’t want to use anything that may affect crisp print. I don’t really have any knowledge this stuff. The outer globe is taped together, which seems to be fairly normal based on my preliminary research. There are spots around the circumference that are sticky from the tape. The tape wasn’t really affixed neatly by whomever. I am just keeping it as is. As I mentioned above. The clear Lucite base is missing, which contained a compass. I don’t have the manual either. The globe can sit stationary on its porthole. Please note that I have described the item to the best of my ability. With the help of a brief internet search. If you have ANY questions, please ask me. Antique H. SCHEDLER'S CELESTIAL GLOBE 19th century 1868 12 inch globe iron stand
Here is an antique H. Schedler's Celestial Globe. It is a 12 inch globe on a wood and iron base. The globe label reads: H. SCHEDLER"S CELESTIAL GLOBE 12 INCHES DIAMETER EXHIBITING ALL THE STARS VISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYE UP TO THE SIXTH MAGNATUDE H. SCHEDLER JERSEY CITY. NJ PATENTED NOV. 1868 ENTERED ACCORDING TO ACT OF CONGRESS The globe is a good candidate for a light restoration. Or displays beautifully as is. There are some water spots and slight separation, and the print has faded somewhat. There is one seam with a very old strip of transparent tape. Hopefully all of this shows in the pics. An Impressive 16in. Farquhar"Earth in Space Globe" An impressive 16 inch diameter globe created by Robert H. Farquhar of Farquhar Transparent Globes. Philadelphia, PA. This transparent, three color, star globe is made of acrylic with all printing on the inside surface. This unit consist of a rotatable, transparent Earth globe with an adjustable horizon ring mounted inside of a transparent celestial globe. A sunlight terminator wire indicates where the Sun is rising and setting on the Earth's surface at any given time or date and a transparent cradle base with a working magnetic compass affixed to it's center. The outer celestial sphere displays 88 constellations and more than 1,100 naked-eye stars plus well known globular and galactic star clusters. Stars are identified by name Greek letter designation, brightness to 4.5 ... moremagnitude and distance from the Earth in light years. Robert H. Farquhar began his journey to becoming"Mr. World-Maker" in 1948 after working in a shipyard and as a frustrated insurance salesman. A vintage circa 1950s 6-inch Surprise Globe Published by Replogle Globes Inc. Gustav Brueckmann, Cartographer. Made in Chicago U.S.A. Colorful lithographed world with black oceans and a secret hidden inside. This little globe is hinged and opens to a heavenly sight. The celestial northern and southern hemispheres show the classic constellations in light blue against a dark blue sky. It also served as a secret hiding place for the childhood treasures of the original owner. This tin globe had only one owner until I got it from his mother. He was too old to cry. Smile) This little globe should appeal to toy and globe collectors alike. The"as found" condition is very good as you can see in my 12 informative photos. Two minor dents in what is now Russia and a faint one near Hawaii. The three tin strips holding the globe to the base are ... moreno longer perfectly straight. The top half needs a little coaxing to align with the bottom half. It's slightly out of round. I'm quite sure this educational toy has been dropped more than once in over 50 years! There is no loss of color or fading- still nice and bright. The top rolled Equator edge has some paint loss where the clips snap it shut. All in all. I'd say the condition is good. The equatorial tape is intact but loose in one spot. The horizon ring and paper scale are intact but have a very tiny spot of loss. The metal components are intact and have some minor wear to the finish. The globe has retained it's glossy finish. This is an old vintage tin litho Replogle six-inch celestial globe. The globe’s stand is missing. Made in USA. No date anywhere but I'm guessing 1950s(or maybe earlier) Please read this description and review the photos carefully as this globe has condition issues. I had a difficult time taking good photos of this globe. Any white patches you see are just glare from my camera. The first photo is the best representation of the actual colors(at least on my monitor) The rest of the photos are rather washed out. This globe has four shallow dents on the surface. You can see a couple of these on the first photo in the upper left area. There is also a rusty patch which you can see in one of the other photos right behind the Leo figure. Red line around the center has some fading. Globe also has some scuffing. Scratching, and dust/soil around ... morethe edges of the red part on both sides. Metal rod down the center has some rust. Approximately 20 to 21 inches in diameter. Probably a store display. Given the brass plaque and pleated black cloth cover over the display stand. I don't much about these. And perhaps ebayers could send some additional info. I bought this because it displays so well. It is very well made, and very informative. The"moon" is still there. All of the rotating parts are working very well. I believe it is complete, but I am not sure. This has a rotating Earth, a rotating Moon, and the constellations on the outer globe. Very good vintage condition. Just a few very light scratches consistent with age. The original transparent tape is still present. And this has ... morebecome translucent. There are fewer than 5 exactly like this in the world, 2 being in museums in Europe. The sphere is made of bronze. And the outer ring appears to be copper, based on the patina. It dates to the late 1700s- early 1800s. The sphere measures 17" in circumference. And the writing is Persian Farsi. The print is a steel engraving printed in 1822. The sheet measures 10 X 8 inches and is in good condition aside from a light crease across the top. Small stain in the tip of the lower right corner and light age toning. The image is titled"Geography. Plate 3. It is inscribed in the lower right corner:Garner. This is the name of the engraver. It is inscribed across the bottom: Pub.d by S. Richards& Co. London. The print comes from“The Modern Encyclopedia or Universal Dictionary of Arts. Science& Literature” published in London, by Richards& Co. in 1822 There is nothing printed on the reverse side. The print is shown on a black background in order to show the entire sheet. These Antique Islamic brass detailed decorative celestial sphere balls With constellations depicted using mythical patterns. These decorative sphere balls offered have brass shapes and patterns(nail-tap) appliqued onto the carved wood ball- very unique graduated equatorial lines and ecliptics with axis poles at each end. The larger sphere has an enamel? of green and gold leaf. These celestial globe spheres are Middle Eastern motif often used by astrologers and astronomers for reference. Each sphere has exquisite details and do show age which is not known but likely early MidCentury or later 1800's. Height about 2.5 to 4.5 inches.
