This map folds out to about 28" x 22" The front cover panel reads: MAPS of Los Angeles and Vicinity- California Bank One side features a large map of downtown Los Angeles showing the locations of California Bank Branch Offices with a Index of Streets printed in the margins around the map. The verso has a regional map of Southern California and smaller maps of the area between Los Angeles and San Francisco and the area between Los Angeles. Original 1940s Jo Mora Antique Carte Map Poster Print Yosemite California This humorous view of life and activity in Yosemite circa 1930 has been a favorite image for decades and is highly collectible. A colorful map of Yosemite Valley drawn by artist Jo Mora in 1931. Artist Joseph"Jo" Jacinto Mora was born in Uruguay in 1876 and became an illustrator after moving to the United States in the early 1900s and spending significant time in the American West. Originally produced in black and white in 1931(hence the copyright date) The drawing was first produced in color in 1941 for Yosemite Park and Curry Company. The original hand colored map done by Jo can be seen at the Yosemite Museum. Jo approached his depiction of Yosemite with a sense of humor. A cloud resting on an easy chair is shown for Clouds Rest. A bishop is straddling the Cathedral Spires.
