TLC Pair Antique Boston Side Chairs ca 1750
Offering as is used/pre-owned a Pair of Antique Boston Side Chairs ca 1750 in TLC condition. Awesome Tiger pattern every which way you view the chairs. I dont know the what are the different kinds of wood used. They may have had a thrush woven seat originally and later(unknown date maybe 1930's or 40's) was fixed with a leopard like vinyl material and side by side brass studs which I think is strikingly beautiful. The woven fabric supports underneath is loose. The curved back top of the chairs are both loose and need to be reglued. There's a broken reglued piece of the Urn back splat on one and the other has a piece of the Urn back splat missing. There are metal skid/studs under each chair leg. I dont know if those are original or when they were put on if they arent. Please see the photos. Haynes. The shell is single-ply. 11-1/2 inches in diameter x 8-1/2 inches in height. Inside the shell is. Handwritten in pencil, the following: J. C. VINTAGE POLITICAL PHOTOGRAPH This is a great piece of Republican political history for anyone living in Boston. My grandfather was a member of the Young Republican's Club in Dorchester in 1915. He loved politics and in this photo he and the club members were supporting Guy Ham for Lieutenant Governor. I don't believe he won. The photo is in sepia tone and the frame is black. It was taken by H.J. Darley Co. Malden, MA. There is a little water stain in one corner. You can see this in one of the pictures. There is also a little frame damage on one edge which you can also see in one of the pictures. The back of the frame is supported by thin pieces of wood. Boston Leather Radio Harness
I have for auction a much sought after Boston Leather Radio Harness and Strap. It is extremely lightly used. Like less than 5x, but it is not NEW. Leather is awesome condition. The only issue with this harness is that there is no"anti-sway" strap.unless I find it before the end of the auction. Looking elsewhere on eBay, they can be found for $10.00 or so, if it is that important. I have had this since new and it approx 5-6yrs old. Elastic is in good shape and the radio strap is adjustable. As is the shoulder harness. This is a no reserve auction but the"BUY IT NOW" option will disappear after the first bid. There are no warranties. Up for auction is an excellent E. Howard& Co. Boston. Pocket watch. It is running and keeping time. I believe it is a gold filled case. As seen in the pictures. The movement says E. Howard& Co. Boston, serial number 404584. This serial number dates it back to the late 1800'S. There is hound and a letter"N" on the movement as well. The hound represents unadjusted. The"N" represents the size, size 18. This is a 15 jeweled watch movement. IX series. There is an inscription. A silver toned piece hangs beneath bearing the K of P emblem and a male bust. 25th Convention KP Boston August 1908 inscribed around. The back of each piece is stamped with a Whitehead and Hoag makers mark. There is wear to the tone of the metal as well as the detailing. This medal measures 4" in length and weighs 26.5 grams.
