The map shows Spain starting from the north at its border with Gallia(France) and continuing to the south to the straights of Hercules(today Gibraltar) This map was taken out of a damaged copy of the Long's Classical Atlas(see the last three photos) Which is not part of this sale. This sale is for the map only. These maps would look great once properly framed. They were engraved by GE Sherman Printed by Henry Seibert of New York. The maps show quite a bit of detail and are nicely colored. It shows cities, rivers, mountain ranges, water bodies and longitudinal and latitude lines with London being the zero. Five Glove Compartment Atlases Three are Readers Digest editions of Hammond Atlases from 1983.1986 and 1988(not shown in pictures) One is a 1964 Rand McNally Atlas given by American Family Insurance and the last is a Rand McNally Pocket Road Atlas of the United States and Mexico from 1978. Please be aware that these Road Maps are anywhere from 10 to 90 years old. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So some of the maps you are buying will be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders and foldlines of the maps may also have tears. On occasion maps may ... moresmell musty from the way they have been stored in the past. When the map is kept in an open area the musty smell will fade away in time. Included in the set, as well, is what appears to be a flyer from a Canadian( casino, as well as the menu from a Pan American flight between the US and Frankfurt, Germany. The lot is all in used.
