Antique Maps of Ohio and North Carolina - 1890s 19th Century US State Map
Visit the eBay store to see what category is on sale this week. Antique maps of Ohio and North Carolina from an atlas published in the late 19th Century. These US state maps are printed back to back. So only one can be displayed at a time. Framed, these make great wall decor for an office, den or just about any room in the house. Approximate dimensions: Page: 11.5 x 9 in/ 29 x 23 cm. Maps: 10.25 x 7.5 in/ 26 x 19 cm. Condition: Good. Lots of dark aging around the margins. Which just adds to the appeal of the old maps. The paper is fairly fragile, so map page will need to be protected from less than careful handling. Note: the page was just a bit too big for the scanner, so part of the margin areas is not shown. The bottom tip of Ohio is complete on the actual page, but the publisher didn't leave much extra margin as it extends almost to ... morethe edge of the page. Lots more in the SkippiDiddle eBay store. Lots more maps to list. Message me if you don't see what you're looking for and I'll check my extensive inventory. Antique 1920 Book THE PEOPLE'S WAR BOOK AND ATLAS Autographed Edition MAPS!
Offered for sale is this very collectible book titled THE PEOPLE'S WAR BOOK AND ATLAS AUTOGRAPHED EDITION in poor overall condition as I hope the pictures show. The spine has separated and some of the early pages have old taped repairs on them and are loose. The book's hard covers also show wear and scuffing and wear on edges along with some page edges. Some of the illustrations are loosening or are loose. There is yellowing and some foxing as to be expected. Under the front cover is a printed photograph of LT. COLONEL W. A. Bishop. Truly the top ace for the allies in World War 1 having been officially credited with shooting down 72 enemy planes and unofficially credited with over 100 planes! His autograph is a real genuine signature, NOT A FACSIMILE, as he signed this book. I do not know how many of these books he signed, but this ... moreis one of them. The signature is fading from time, but still very readable. The page appears to be taped down and possibly glued down also. But nonetheless, it is still there. It may be missing an illustration or 2 due to loose pages. The book is a first edition with a 1920 title page date and a copyright date of 1920 with also a"SALESMEN WANTED" section at the bottom of the copyright page! The title page reads, THE PEOPLE'S WAR BOOK HISTORY CYCLOPAEDIA AND CHRONOLGY OF THE GREAT WORLD WAR by James Martin Miller and H. S. Canfield and CANADA'S PART IN THE WAR by W. R. Plewman. The book is very well illustrated in black and white and color. The back 1/3rd of the book is full of colored maps of states and countries of the world. The book is written in 2 sections with the atlas section having its own title page. It reads, THE PEOPLE'S PICTORAL ATLAS OF THE WORLD BY George Wharton James and Alan H. Burgoyne and Elmore Elliott Peake. This title page also has a 1920 date and a 1920 copyright. The printed photography in this book is amazing and plentiful along with the colored maps! The People's War Book section of the publication has 520 pages and the Atlas

Antique Metal Canister for Maps Documents pos Army Military Tin Map Holder Tube
This unusual lot is an old metal(probably tin) map canister. It has considerable age to it. And it's condition reflects this. Please see photos for details of its condition. It measures 17" long by 2.25" diameter(or approx 43cms x 5.5cms) It had some family documents in it dating from the 1890s to 1900s. But I don't know whether or not the canister is this old. It doesn't have any makers marks. I wondered whether it might be an ex-military item- maybe WW1 era? However, because I don't know much about it I have titled it up very broadly in the hope that someone interested in this kind of thing will see it and recognise its age and origin. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. Bid with confidence. I am an individual(not a business) registered with eBay for more than 12 years. Mostly I buy things.
