None are missing, and they are firmly attached to the cover. The cover has leather corners and spine, but some of the leather has been worn off. The rest of the cover is cardboard covered with cloth. The inside cover page has a 1-3/8" tear at the top. No other pages are torn, as far as I can see. Please see photos for more information about condition. an authentic rand mcnally business atlas from 1907 and it appears to have every page and map although i am not positive because they did not count a lot of the maps as pages. maybe they were meant to be removed and hung on wall? anyway if sold seperately probably at least $1400 at $20 per map but i just dont want to destroy this atlas as there are very few survivors left. 1 page is about half torn towards back of book and same area has a few tears and wear from use. book has been used and there may be things i dont see. it is a huge book about 16in by 21in. so the maps are perfect for framing. cou;ld be 4 or 5 thousand worth of maps. weighs around 18lbs. so very heavy. maps good color too. awesome to just see america and the world so long ago without the interstates and main travel was by train! a cool ad on the back page for a shipping co. ... morealso. shipping is calculated because of size and weight so be sure to check it out before you bid as shipping could be high.

That of indicating railroad lines in a separate color. Also in this book. And index gazetteer of the world giving precise data regarding the principal cities of the world with maps included. Also. A complete physical and commercial analysis of the United States and Canada with a guide to the principal trunk railroads throughout North America. The encyclopedic atlas is in good vintage condition on mostly the entire interior pages. It does ... morehowever have a lot of problems as one can see from the pictures on the cover which is in a rather rough condition mostly at the ends and it has separated entirely for the spine. Also the printing on the front cover is quite faint. There are no pages loose from the spine but some pages have small tears around the edges. All the pages are tight and secure and the color of all illustrations is good. There is some soiling and aging of paper and the corners of the book are bent. We also see one of the very front pages that is torn but the piece is inside. Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description. 7 Antique Maps of Gemany- Munster, Cologne, Wittenburg, Hamburg, & More- Merians
I have 7 maps in great condition up for auction. I only know what I could figure by looking at them. The internet was no help in trying to research these current ones. The six black and white are reproductions of Matthaus Merians maps of Germany, made in the late 1950's by pharmaceutical company Robugen GMBH. Maybe part of a promotion? They have a blurb of info about the geographical region on the back of each, as well as info on Robugen GMBH's latest drug. The colored map is a reproduction of a Johanne Baptiste Homann. But I cannot find a date on it. It was put out by Rhein-Chemie Pharmaceuticals. In the pictures. The maps may appear darker and split in the middle, but this is because they would not fit in my scanner and I had to stitch two images to together to create one large image. The maps are in one peice, with no defects in ... morethe middle. They have all been rolled for storage, and the colored map has been folded neatly half at some point. 2 Antique ordnance survey maps from 1896 / 1898, LXVII 7 Brentwood
This auction is for an Ordnance Survey Sheet Map 1896 survey. Sheet no LXVII 7 showing the town of Brentwood. There are two versions of this map, a larger one which is VERY DAMAGED and will need considerable renovation, and a smaller version of the same map. The small version is in much better condition except that it appears to have had coffee spilled across it as it has a watermark across the middle as pictured. The scale of the large map is 1:2500 and of the smaller map is 1:10560 The large map measures length 100 cm x height 74 cm(3ft 3" x 2ft 5" and the smaller map is about a quarter of this size. A set of antique maps of an early American edition of the Classical Geography atlas 5 MAPS: Britania. Hispania, Peloponnesus, Asia Minor, and a map of Ancient Topographical Plans Provenance An Atlas of Classical Geography. Constructed by William Hughes and Edited by George Long, with a Sketch of Classical Geography, and Other Additions, by the American Editor. Containing Fifty-Two Maps and Plans on Twenty-Six Plates, With an Index of Places. Philadelphia: Blanchard& Lea. 1858. Map of Hispania came from one edition published by Sheldon& Company Publishers(New York) in 1870. Size/ Format Sheet: 33.5 cm x 25.5 cm(13¼" x 10" Map: 29 cm x 21.3 cm(11⅜" x 8⅜" Copper engravings with original hand-colored outline. These maps were all'tipped in' to the atlas. Meaning that they could be removed as a single intact ... moresheet. The maps have a single fold in the center, single-sided(blank verso) Condition Very good/ excellent. The colors are bright and vibrant and the quality of the printing is excellent. There is light. Even age-toning(which is normal) There is no significant spotting or foxing. Remarks Four of the maps are published by Blanchard& Lea(printed on the bottom center margin on each maps. As shown below) and printed by Collins, who was also the printer of the first American edition of this Hughes& Long Classical Geography atlas. The atlas from which these maps were taken was a university text book widely used in Classics university courses in both the U.S. and the U.K. during the mid-late 19th century. As such. The maps were hand-colored in outline by the university students themselves. It is apparent that these maps belonged to a particularly attentive and meticulous young man(or woman) These maps look great framed alone or in groups!
