I have dated it to c1948. It is possible it was made for a light fitment to go inside as the hole at the base is certainly large enough to allow this and I think would look fabulous. I bought this from an estate where the gentleman had a wooden base made for it. The base in itself is great as well as it has been delicately carved into the pedestal to fit the globe. The pedestal base is floor standing and measures 24 inches tall. It is made by Rand McNally in Chicago. USA and is 16" in diameter. 1" on the globe = 500 miles.The hole in the bottom has a diameter of 5.5 inches. There are a couple of nibbles as you can see in the covering of the globe but the glass is whole with no chips cracks or repairs. Please note that we insure all of items. 1.We accept PayPal. A vintage antique reproduction Old World desktop globe on a wood stand with a full wood meridian. The stand has four turned wood legs and around the top are all the signs of the Zodiac. The globe spins on its axis and all of the major continents(known at the time) are represented along with shipping routes. The globe stands approximately 8 1/2" high in it's stand and the stand measures approx. 7 1/2" wide at its widest point across. The globe measures 14 1/2" in circumference or 4 1/2" in diameter. We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure an antique and/or vintage round lightning rod glass ball. It is made out of white porcelain type glass. When one takes a close examination one can see old mold markings and swirls in the glass. The ball is in good condition with just chipping on the top and bottom where the metal caps go over. We do not have any caps but we understand that they are available on the internet. The ball has a couple little areas of stain markings. The ball measures 4 ½” wide and the same high. This is a lovely antique white ironstone butter dish. With insert, and lid. It is marked"K.T.K. S-V China S.B.E. This is the mark of Knowles, Taylor& Knowles and dates from 1905-1925. It measures approx. 5.75" tall and 6" wide. It has a really elegant form and wonderful detail on the handle. It is unusual to find one of these that still has its insert and lid. It has overall crazing and a chip and some fleabites to the bottom rim. Please see photos. This piece displays beautifully and would be a wonderful addition to any collection! It's rescuer tried to clean it and managed to remove 75% of the dirt, however, there are some light areas in the map due to scrubbing. It is complete from its metal stand, day/night dial, and most of the equator tape. The globe itself is a hardboard with a metal stand. The hardboard is in Good condition-no breaks, damage. Antique Art Deco Or Nouveau Bronzed Metal Table Lamp Kneeling Woman With Globe
Winner gets a gorgeous. Original Art Deco or Art Nouveau metal lamp with a kneeling woman and amber crackle glass globe. I think the metal is just spelter with a bronze finish. Although not 100% sure of the composition, I'm just making an educated guess. The lamp itself has a great patina consistent with it's age. There is no damage at all to the base or the globe. There are no chips or cracks on the base. The globe is also chip and crack free. The only thing I will mention is the fixture that the globe sits on is a little loose. It is not damaged or a defect, it is just the way the lamp was produced. The height of the lamp with the globe is roughly 16" The bases measures roughly 4.5" x 5" The globe is about 5" in diameter. An Etched Victorian Glass Shaft and Globe Decanter - Antique c1880
A late 19th century Victorian period glass decanter. It is of shaft and globe design with the bulb being of compressed form. This style was popular through the second half of the Victorian period before losing popularity entering into the 20th century and the Edwardian era. The decanter is nicely etched with vines. Tendrils, flowers and birds- it also has polished lens cuts as stylized grapes. The hollow blown stopper is of similar design, although slightly different and suspected as a replacement despite the excellent fit. The style of etching is typical of work produced by the Stourbridge factories in the later 19th century and this decanter is likely from this region. The decanter would have been intended for wine. Large vintage/antique milk glass chandelier. On pendant pole. Total fixture and shade measures 46 inches, from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade. The shade alone measures 10 inches tall and has a diameter of 16 inches. Would be great in a large room or area with a taller ceiling. The wiring has been redone, at some point, and the light fixture is in good working order, but, as with all vintage electrical items, should always be checked for safety. The glass globe has no chips, cracks or breaks. The metal pole has some discoloration/corrosion. This buy it now is for one light fixture, but there are two available. Replogle 12" Globe Light Lamp World Premier Series Antique Style Alabaster Stand
This vintage globe light is in excellent condition and has no damage or issues that I can see. The globe is topographically enhanced and quite beautiful with an antique look. I've shown photos of the bulb you will need to buy for this lamp. The one that was in it burned out and I only had the other small round bulb which doesn't fit through the hole in the bottom. Replacing the bulb is easy. Just loosen one screw and pop the globe off the stand. The cord with the inline switch is in excellent condition, as is the base. I thought it might be marble, but I believe it is alabaster. The brass colored attachments are shiny and in excellent condition as well.

Purchased at an estate that focused on antique linens and textiles. I am not a lace expert. So I could not give you the name of the technique.
