These vintage d ecorative Arched are made of probably heart pine wood and can become components for custom mantels. Or Bookends, wall decorations, functional shelf brackets, and furniture parts are all possibilities. Corbels can also be located beneath ceiling beams or in cased openings. I have 3 of these Corbels. BRACKETS- PRICE IS FOR ALL three Size is about 40 inches long and about 4 inches wide- with a wider part at bottom at about 8 inches- Stripped they would be beautiful. But the wonderful aged look is great as is! The Victorian Arches are constructed very beautifully and they add shabby/chic sophistication. To your house. The corbels are from the style and creativeness that was used during the Victorian Era, still very popular today but hard to find these old corbels! Great for a restoration job. Nice look just to display. Paint is distressed look-beautiful really and there are a few nicks to wood. But has great look! These came from old Alabama homes and date back to the early 1900s. As you can see in the photos they are old and weathered but nothing out of character on such old pieces. They can be easily painted to match your style and décor. What an elegant way to add an authentic Victorian flavor to your property. The original collector of these architectural items began collecting antiques. And antique architectural accesories from the many old homes that were torn down in Montgomery from the years 1935- 1970 and storing them in his warehouse with the intent of eventually building a home with them. If you are wondering why the doors are so thick: they are made of"double laminate" construction. Which is essentially 2 doors put together to form 1 door. This not only makes the doors stronger, and more secure, but also, better for insulation and increases their resistance towards warping. Hardware: The doors are currently not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store and tons more in our physical store. If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of antique pine.see"Modification" below. Condition: On one of the doors. There is a chip missing from the edge of the hinge stile. The edge of the lock stile is chipped. The bottom of the lock stile is chipped. The panels below the glass are chipped and cracked. There is a loose strip of wood on the top of the lock stile. There are chips missing form the side of he lock housing. The molding below the glass is missing. On the other door, there is a dent in the wood on the hinge stile. A break in the astragal. The molding below the glass is loose and the other side of the door is missing the bottom piece of molding. The edge of the hinge stile is chipped. There is a strip of wood missing from the bottom of the door. There are chips of wood missing from the edge of the lock stile. The bottom of the door is chipped and cracked. Otherwise. These doors are in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process, or disguised after a fresh coat of paint.
