This floor shaving stand with a tilt mirror is in the Eastlake style. The age of the piece is c. 1870-1890. It is in great found original condition. The mahogany finish is original with a good patina. The original beveled mirror tilts at various angles to accomodate one who is shaving. The dovetailed drawer has the original pulls to it. The storage compartment on the bottom is unusual in that this type stand usually does not have this feature. It also has its original hardware. The stand is sturdy and tight. I have found no repairs. I have a very nice hard to find. Matching pair of large recessed slide bolts for your consideration. Floral geometric Eastlake patterning. Unsure of pattern and manufacturer. Slides work nicely and stay seated for engagement. Nice large Brass ornate knobs on each. Looks like the original copper Jappanning would clean nicely. Looks like some old varnish has protected it over the years. Original black paint is in nice condition. 1/2 inch round slide. Fabricating a catch wouldn't be hard since most any flat stock would work. Original plates are gone. Measures 8 x 1 3/16 inches. Corner return is 1 5/16 inches deep. Victorian Eastlake doorknob,lockset and faceplate hardware set #2
This auction is for 1 set only. Each will have to be bid on separately. Today you will find some great Eastlake Victorian Hardware. This is in as found condition to protect the patina. Some paint maybe found on them. There is only one knob set screw with the set. The set appears to be brass or bronze and would be a great find for your project. A magnet does stick so they appear to be just plated. It is a great fancy pattern on knob. Faceplate and lockset. The lock set has the letters BLW on the side. I have found no other markings but have seen this pattern listed before. There are 4 complete sets that match being listed separately today with 2 more knob and faceplate sets also being listed separately today. Combined shipping on these if more than 1 set are won. Eastlake Victorian Brass hardware: Door Bell is a creation of a new buzzer and an old doorknob back plate. It fits snuggly and works well. I took it off the door of our former city home when the kids started ringing it at all hours of the night. Also included is a brass shutter latch and two cast iron window pressure catches. If you have a window that will not stay up you put this on the sash of the window and turn the crank and it will lock the window in place. Also holds it in place when it is closed. All hardward came from that house which was built in 1885.

Nice lot of four matching cast iron doorknob keyhole backplates for your consideration. these were aquired with locksets where the lock faceplates had the bluebird or swallow pattern on them. I think these might have been the original plates for that design. Although I am not sure since I can not cross reference the manufacture catalog number on the back of each. Which is 5940. Measure 5 3/8 x 1/12 inches. 2 1/4 inch from ctr of knob to ctr of skeleton key barrel. A nice lot of harder to find Early period Victroian Eastlake cast iron backplates. All the plates are in good condition and I suspect that they might even clean up nicely to the original copper Jappanned finish, since they appear to have quite a bit of old varnish that would have protected them over the many years of service. Up for sale we have a very fine Eastlake Walnut commode with rare veined marble top. The commode is in all original condition with strong sturdy construction. This piece dates from the 1880 and has all the drawers and door full working order. The wood has beautiful graining with burled wood right on the front of the drawers. The hardware is very unusual for a small piece as it has large brass backplates with lots of Victorian detail. The marble is a rare color and texture with little fossilized pieces throughout. There did used to be a back splash that was on the back of the marble. But like many of its kind it is lost. There are still some holes in the marble top that can be expertly filled and polished invisably. We will have this done if the piece does not sell on Ebay. For now we have priced it without doing this work. The piece can be ... morecleaned and waxed and used beautifully just as the marble is. The bottom commode itself need no repairs. Offering Three Pairs(Six Hinges) Antique Eastlake Style Bronze Door Hinges. Marked year 1777 on backside. These are Revolutionary War Era Door Hinges. An individual hinge measures 4 1/2 inches across and 4 1/2 inches tall. Center pole measures 5 7/8 inches long. A single panel on one side of a hinge measures 4 1/2 inches tall by 2 inches wide. Each individual panel on either side of center pole has 4 screw holes, spaced approximately 1 1/4 inches apart. Please notice that there is a chip on one corner of one of the hinges. Beautiful Antique Eastlake Victorian Brass Doorbell Pullchain Bell Hardware NICE
Up for auction is this antique doorbell. It was purchased at auction here in Ohio. It measures@ 5" in diameter. It has nice Eastlake style decoration on the brass bell. The back and inside components appear to be made of cast iron. The patent date on the inside is 1876. The bell is complete except for the pullchain. You can see on the photo which shows you the back side a channel that the chain goes in. You can easily attach a small chain or rope to make this complete. It has a nice ring to it. Antique Eastlake Small Inside Door Locking Latch- Sargent& Co. This is marked on the back"Sargent& Co. Pat. July 14. 1891. Notes: This item is missing the knobs. Opposite side plate and the door jamb plate. The small knob that moves or snaps to the right and to the left only locks the knob(missing) from twisting. It does not lock the small handle. I'm guessing this was used for and inside room. maybe a bathroom? I'm not sure. I was told this came from a railroad passenger car. But I have no proof to validate that comment. This is made of steel. Painted black and copper. The front has aged with paint loss. Discoloration and mild surface rust. Measurements: 3 17/32" inches by 2 9/16" inches by 5/8" of an inch deep(not including the small handle) The small handle measures about 3/4" of an inch wide.
