My guess would be from the 1950s to the 1960s. DIMENSIONS: Wing-tip to wing-tip is 24” X 22” long X 11” tall. MATERIALS: The airplane’s outer body. Although I'm not sure how old it is. I'm guessing early part of the 20th century. The paint on the rooster itself is real chalky and appears to be chalk paint. It will come off on your hands. The rooster is a heavy cast aluminum and is thick-bodied. Not slender like most. The rest of it is a cast iron base and a metal tube. It has a long bolt through it. The rooster looks like it used to thread on there but it is now loose and will come off. This would be a great decorative piece as it just has that"look" to it. It measures about 18 1/2 inches tall overall and the rooster is about 8 1/2" long. Antique weathervane in the form of a Boxer dog from the first half of the 20th century. The post and frame work are made of iron and the dog. Arrow and feather are made of either brass or copper. This piece is a flat vane cut in the shape of a tall Boxer, which is somewhat rare because Boxer's where not typically seen in weathervanes. This piece is in nice condition and has a nice surface. Vintage Heavy Patina Copper Eagle Weathervane Cupola Art!
This listing is for a beautiful. Extremely old weathervane that needs a little work. This item was stored indoors for the past 18 years and the patina is just remarkably thick! This leads me to believe that was used for a very long time but I have no idea where. Please look at all of the pics as the beak on this vane needs to be straightened. At some point is must have fallen. However, the very delicate tongue is still intact and looks great. The only other damage is the back end of the arrow needs to be soldered on. I really don't think these would be tough jobs for a craftsman but you be the judge. The vane is 21 1/2" at its widest point. One wing tip to the other. It is a full 18" from the bottom of the ball to the top. The directional points measure 18 1/2" across. This looks much better against the sky. Upper section with the boy and dog-Simple Simon-and the pie man is 51 3/4" wide by 36" tall from the arrow feathers to the chef. Mount extends out the bottom another 9 3/4" It is made of 3/16" steel other than the mounting shaft. This piece alone weighs 38 lbs. The N S E W indicator is 35" end of letter to end of letter and the letters are 7 3/8" They are 3/16" steel also. The solid steel rods the letters are attached to is 1/2" diameter. The main shaft the weathervane slips into is 1 1/4" diameter. Total height from bottom of letters to top of rod is 20 1/2" Shaft has 14 1/2" long rising up from the center, 2 3/4" coming out the bottom. Shaft was cut on the bottom to remove it from the Howard Johnsons. These usually sat on a globe which i ... moredo not have. This amazing piece features terrific detail and a wonderful butcher shop theme. May have been used as a trade sign for a shop. This weathervane is made from thin sheet metal with thicker metal for braces which are hand riveted to the body. 1880's 1890's Victorian Barn Lightning Rod Weathervane Tip Point Farm Hardware
Here we have for sale a very old original lightning rod bayonet tip. The tip has the small 7/16" thread. The tip is a 10" brass bayonet. It has a nice looking bell style base. This style is attributed to Reyburn Hunter Co. and Smith- Hewitt as well as others. Has old black patina and maybe gold finish? Tip is in good shape. Not resharpened and she's not bent up. This is a great lightning rod tip and this 1880's- 1890's stuff aint easy to get anymore that isn't deteriorated away.

I have up for sale a very nice vintage original circa late 1800s to early 1900s American Folk Art Sheet Metal Cut Out Silhouette HORSE WEATHERVANE. It is Fresh off the Farm. Picked out of an old granary. It measures approx 31" long, approx 26" tall and is made of two cut out and riveted together pieces of sheet metal. The vane is fully guaranteed as being authentic. Dating from somewhere approx. 1900 give or take. It was purchased off of an old family farm here in Wisconsin, I've been trying to by it for over 20 years. Really Nicely Done. Unknown maker probably done by a local tinsmith back in the day. I think that its a fantastic looking item. Perfect for a wall décor or to have a stand made with a rod for proper display. Rare & Exc. Antique 19th C. NE Molded Copper Full-Bodied Rooster Weathervane
An exceptional& rare 19th C. New England full-bodied copper rooster weathervane. C. 1850-70. This early weathervane has an excellent form& great oxidation to the copper. It was recently purchased from a collection in New Jersey& originally found in Maine over 20 years ago. Early weathervanes are prized for their original condition, the surface on this piece is incredible, completely untouched with wonderful verdigris. The sculptural quality of this piece elevates it far beyond its original utilitarian purpose. The rooster was a favorite motif for old-time makers of weathervanes, roosters were especially popular during the eighteenth& first part of the nineteenth century. An extraordinary amount of detail is included in the overall design of this handsome piece, the detail in the relief molded wing& tail feathers is amazing& ... morequite unusual, not often seen in early weathervanes. This piece is so individual stylistically, that it is possible to attribute other vanes to this manufacturer as well. It is in excellent condition, with a seam separation under the beak& a small one on the top of the head, there are no other damage or repairs. This early weathervane is quite large, measuring 28" wide, 21" tall& 5 1/2" wide, it stands 27 1/2" tall with the stand. This is an early 20th century zinc weathervane I purchased about a decade ago from a collector in Birmingham. Michigan. It is a beautifully cast pheasant, full-bodied and made of solid zinc, with nice detailing, and a lovely surface patina. It has been professionally mounted onto a very heavy, custom-made, wrought iron weathervane stand. With the stand, this piece measures about 24" tall by 19 1/2" wide, and without the stand, it measures about 11" tall by 19 1/2" The stand itself is 9" by 5" by 13" tall. ANTIQUE WEATHERVANE FROM WW1 CAMP SLO VINTAGE WEATHER VANE SAILBOAT MARINE THEME
Old antique weather vane. It looks like cast iron. We found it in an old general store outside of the old Camp San Louis Obispo training camp( which dates to the First World War; the training area was actually sold to the US Govt during WW1 by W.R Hearst of the Sf Chronicle newspaper) The old general store was being re-utilized as storage. And they were planning on tearing it down next month. We were able to retrieve this old weathervane with their permission. It is being sold as pictured. As it is shown. Neat old vintage weather vane. That must have seen quite a few doughboys go past during the First World War and the Second World War( CSLO was home to one of the old Army armored units that fought in the Philippines and was captured in Bataan in 1942) Shipping will be determined based on its destination.

This is a beautiful Antique Primitive PHEASANT COPPER WEATHERVANE with attached directionals in very nice antique condition. Entire piece measures 29"H x 24" at widest point. Pheasant's approximate measurements are 8"H x 23 1/2"L at highest and widest points. N.S,E,W directionals and pole appear to made of cast iron. Please note that"N" is missing a portion of itself as shown in photos. Does not appear to be functional any longer. As the pole supporting the Pheasant has attached itself to the directionals due to extensive age. Appearing very old with wonderful patina. Sulky Horse Racing Weathervane Sulky Rider Missing Arm Here is a nice sulky horse racing weathervane for your buying consideration. Recently picked the piece up at an auction. The piece is made mostly of copper and has a great patina. Great detailing to the horse. Sulky and rider. Does not have the rod with the wind direction piece with it. The sulky rider is missing one of his arms and a couple of the solder joints of the piece need to be redone including the one that connects the driver to the seat. The weathervane is 32" long. NICE WEATHERVANE WITH THERMOMETER IN THE BASE. IT IS 18 INCHES FROM BASE TO TOP OF RIDERS HEAD. THE RIDER IS REMOVABLE AND THE EAST/WEST/NORTH/SOUTH IS ALSO REMOVABLE. THE THERMOMETER WOULD APPEARANTLY HAVE TO HAVE THE BASE UNSCREWED TO REMOVE IT. THIS PIECE IS PLASTIC BUT IT IS IN GREAT SHAPE. IT IS GREEN WITH BRUSH STROKE FINISH.
