Vintage Copper Bronze Steam Engine Train Locomotive Tender Direction Weathervane
You are viewing a Vintage 38 inch long x 40 inch tall Copper Steam Locomotive with attached tender on top of a weather-vane. The train has a great patina that only happens with weather and age. I do not know the exact era. The directional letters are made of solid cast bronze. There is a small copper ball between the letters and the Loco and a larger ball below the letters on the weather vane. The roof of the conductors cab has a few dents on top as seen in the photos. There may be an occasional soldered spot that has come loose and will need re-soldered. There is no base for the weather vane to sit in. One can be made or purchased separately. It has a steel(about 3/4 inch) rod that it is mounted on. It will make a fantastic addition to a garden or may be mounted on top of a building. This is a vintage aluminum eagle weathervane in good condition. There is roof coating paint at the bottom. And it will need to be cleaned and painted, but it is complete with no damage or repairs. There is a hole on the tail of the arrow, not sure if something went in there or not. It stands approx. 36in. tall(3 feet) I can't find any maker's marks, possibly Virginia Metalcrafters. Two of the feet have broken spots or a piece missing. Please see pics. Cow measures 30-1/2" from nose to tail and stands 22-1/2" tall. It is approximately 3" thick at its thickest point. The bar that feet are attached to is not complete. I found my cow on a large"working/hunting" ranch in rural Southern California. This auction is for a wonderful copper antique horse weathervane. My mother bought this 45 years ago in Houston at an estate sale. The people had moved here from a farm that had been in their family for generations in Maine. This came from the families barn. There are 2 bullet holes in the horse. It looks like it is slightly dented in a little near the top bullet hole. However. It is in very good condition and would be great for that special collector. There is no seperation in the seals. Up for auction today is an antique/vintage Robbins Weathervane featuring a farmer with the letter"N" on his overalls. He also has a football in his left hand and an ear of corn in his pocket(Nebraska Cornhuskers? This weathervane is 26 3/4" tall and 19 1/4" across the directional. It has Robbins Maryville. MO on each side of the directional tail and it also has it on the base of the weathervane. It does have a few paint chips, to be expected with age. The ball is plastic and does look to have a blue paint drip on it. The top of the ball is a darker yellow than the bottom. There is a slight chip on the bottom of the ball. Please refer to photos. ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY FOLK ART PRIMITIVE CARVED WOOD COD FISH WEATHERVANE
Great antique 19th century carved wood cod fish weathervane. This primitively carved piece has remnants of paint on the underside. There are carved lines to highlight the eyes. Fins and some scales. There may have been zinc fins and a tail attached to the vane at the seam. It probably came apart and it looks like round headed nails were used to put it back together, however, the age of the weathervane is greater than that. It was bought from a man in Fairhaven, MA. He told us that it came from a small church on Nantucket Island. This is all he knew about it. It measures 27 1/2" long, 5 1/2" tall, and 3 1/2" wide. Old 1900's Original Franklin Lightning Rod Weathervane Farm Hardware Barn Find
Here we have for sale an old original lightning rod fresh from the loft of a Kentucky barn. Found this relic suspended from the rafters of a dilapidated barn here in South Central Ky. It has been dangling for quite some time as most of the green patina has tarnished with a rusty red finish. The tin roof was mostly ripped off and this was the only rod left. Rod is a 5' copper clad twisted style rod. Yes I know it doesn't look copper but it actually is. It's a copper plate over a steel rod, not a thin copper wrap. These were the most expensive rods on the market at the time but they didn't hold up well. The copper and iron didn't agree with each other. The copper plate is rust stained but if wire brushed will be bright copper except for were the iron has rusted thru the plating. The rod is still very solid with some minimal ... morepitting. The bottom fitting is stamped"Miller Quality" The bayonet is a 10" broad blade style stamped"Trade Franklin Mark" Stand is a 3' uninsulated style. All feet are intact as are the clips to hold the rod. Nice old lightning rod indeed!

Not sure, but through the best research I could do I Believe it maybe a Mohican Indian image. Was told this came off a house built in 1800's in Viriginia. Weathervane has been stored since removal over 26 years in garage. Has the N/S/E/W and the 2 balls, and the rod. Also comes with the brace to attach the item to your roof. I believe all is original. Measurements: From base to top of feather on his head measures 56 inches. The rod to the small ball at base of Indian is 33 inches. The rod that holds the Indian on measures 11 inches. Vintage Metal WEATHERVANE Dog Retriever Painted Aluminum
Vintage painted Aluminum Weathervane with golden retriever mounted on top. The overall height is 29 ¼” The arrow is 23 ½” long- The N.S,E,W directional pieces measure 16" each- The dog’s length is 9” It weighs just under 5 pounds unpackaged. The dog is painted“golden” and stands on a base of green(grass) and the rest is black. There are some small spots of paint chipping. But could be covered easily. Horse and Doctor Buggy Weathervane with Directionals
For auction is a doctor buggy drawn by horse weathervane with directional. I do not know if this a reproduction or not. The ball looks loose in the picture but it was not adjusted right and the ball drops down further and fits pretty good. I am also not sure if the directional is original to the piece. It measures 32" long and 16" tall without the directional and 5 1/2" wide. The directional is 29" tall and the N S and E W are not the same length. N-S measures about 18" and E-W measures about 22" This piece is in very good condition(makes me think reproduction) but does have a nice patina.

Antique Weathervane Rooster 1940's Texas Cast Metal Art Country House or Barn Search I have an authentic metal rooster weathervane for sell. It is complete and it is ready for mounting. The weathervane was mounted on the roof of a neighbor's house in the early 1940's. I suspect it is much older than this. But I can only declare for certain that it is this old, because I remember it as a child. My parent's purchased the house at a later time and when they passed away the weathervane came into my possession. It measures approx. 35 1/2" tall and it is 27" wide measuring across the arrow. There is a round piece of metal beneath this. That they must have inserted into a small hole and then the weathervane had screws, that fastened the weathervane to the roof of the house. There is paint wear from being outside so many ... moreyears. There is some rust on the bottom round disk. But it has not harmed the metal and the wethervane just needs to be cleaned and painted or you can enjoy displaying it in his natural, weathered state. I have kept it inside my home for at least fifteen years as a display piece. The antique globe in the first phoograph is not part of this auction. It is time to let someone else enjoy this wonderful. As pictured. Up for auction is this Vintage Rooster Weathervane with NWES Directional manufactured by the MRC Company. It's noted on the collar fitting"USA Patented Model# 102KSZZ. It comes with it's North. West, South, East Directional Base. The combo measures approx 18" square for the directional base, and the rooster weathervane is approx 15" long and 11" tall. It has a threaded pole to barn connection with a 1" fitting, I believe. Material appears to be iron, combo'd with a thick sheet metal for the bird. but not sure. The combination is very nostalgic. very well made and very cool! It came out of a barn sale in rural NY. not sure of the age. A very high quality production. As the weathervane drops into the base collar with a finely machine fitted surface. The weathervane floats with minimal friction ... moreon it's base. It cosmetically looks decent with no significant flaws. just a few scratches here and here. It looks like a wrought iron but with the green on it I can’t tell if it was painted or possible copper turned green. It measures about 8 ¾” long by 4” wide and is in as-found condition so some of the points are bent. Most of my items are estate finds so I have no way of knowing if they came from a smoke free or pet free house. Keep this in mind if you are overly sensitive. Vintage cast iron Pheasant weathervane topper in very good condition. It measures 29" long and 13" tall and the arrow is 3/4" wide. Where is sits on a pole is a1/4" opening. It weighs about 3 pounds. Not sure how old it is. The pheasant is held on with 2 screws into the arrow I do not know much about weathervanes or weathervane tops, so please look at pictures and bid accordingly. Hi and thanks for visiting this auction! This is an original hand made Copper Eagle Weathervane probably dating to the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is in beautiful condition as it has been on display inside for the last 40 years or so. Look close at the pictures and please ask questions before you bid! The beak shows some damage as shown in the picture. But it doesn't take away from the overall beauty of the piece. The wingspan measures about 21" it stands about 51" from the top of a wing to the base of the mounting bracket. You are bidding on the whole unit, this includes the Eagle and the copper ball he is attached to, the small ball below that, the arrow, the directional unit, another ball, the rod and mounting base.
