Antique Americana Large Folksy Rooster Weathervane ~ Painted Iron & All Original
Antique Americana Large Folksy Rooster Weathervane ~ Painted Iron& All Original Up for auction is a wonderful antique rooster weathervane. An all original and one-of-a-kind weathervane that likely dates to the 1920s. Based on his folksy deco design. He was hand made, cut from heavy duty iron, and made to fit onto a rod, so he turns freely depending on the wind. This fellow has a great natural patina from being outside so long. The paint, which is a dark barn red, is the original paint, and it has worn away naturally in places due to the oxidation of the iron underneath. The previous owner had this rooster mounted onto a modern heavy iron display stand, which I think suits him well. On his stand he measures 25 1/2" tall and 24" wide, and without the stand, he measures 24" by 17. The stand itself is 24" long by 6" ... morewide, not counting the rod. This folksy fellow is in excellent antique condition, with no repaints, repairs, splits, holes, or dents. Please refer to the photos, feel free to ask any questions, and thanks for looking!

Weathered Copper Airplane Weathervane with Metal Stand
Unique Airplane Weathervane. Missing one of the rear tail rudders. This item is many decades old and has been outside in the weather during most of it's time. It is not perfect. Has some areas of soldering and or braising for repair over the years. The left side wing brace has been replaced with a different copper one from the original that is on the right side. The metal propeller is free spinning. The adjustment nuts for up and down are frozen in place. I actually broke the bottom wing nut style one in the lowest part of the base after I photographed it. The threaded end is still frozen into the post. Overall height is appx 50" It does appear that it has adjustment to raise or lower it. But again, the threaded screws are frozen with rust. Airplane has an appx 29-1/2" wingspan and is appx 24-1/2" long from tail section ... moreto front of propeller. Vintage Rooster Weathervane Trivet, Italy
This is a vintage metal trivet that features a rooster on a weathervane(look for the stylized"N" and"S" under the rooster) The metal is substantial and looks like aluminum. But I do not know what it is. The back is marked"Italy E.P Zino. It has four covered feet(so it will not scratch your counters or table) as well as its original hook for hanging. It measures approximately 10.5: X 7 3/4" It has been used only very gently; there are no scratches. Use on the table or counter, or hang on the wall. I suspect it would polish up quite nicely, but since some people prefer the"patina, I will leave this up to its new owner. All photos were taken in natural daylight without flash. This came right off of an old Howard Johnson's restaurant and is probably only 1 of 25 ever made in this style. This metal weathervane stands approx. 44" Tall and is in amazing condition. It was most likely sheltered from the rain and treated as there is virtually no rust. It has no major dents or bends with just a little discoloration from age. This is a vintage Copper Eagle Weathervane in excellent shape. It is all copper except possibly for the directional spears and arrow tip which maybe brass. The main post is iron. It all has a beautiful patina that can only be developed naturally. It is about 60" tall and the eagle has a wing span of about 21" No roof mount is included. This is a dog vane that is from the 1950's This was on the shed of my Uncle's cottage here on Cape Cod. He was a pheasant hunter and he had Golden Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels. This looks like an English or Gordon Setter. MAde out of metal aluminum with old mustard duck boat brown paint. Measures 15 1/2 from end of tail to snout and 9 1/2 inches from top of head to bottom of foot. This does NOT include another 4 1/2 inches on pole base. SO adding to such it is a bit taller. WOOFS! I sold this once but the person got it and said it did not look like their dog so up it goes one more time. So please if you are buying this because it looks like your dog supposedly make sure it does as it is a hassle and costly to get things back.

This directional is roughly 26 1/2" long and 8" high and weighs 1lb 6 oz. the arrow part is iron and I believe the horse to be zinc. The weathervane is mounted on a 31" long copper tube under the horse(as pictured) With an opening underneath with which to mount directionals, etc. The height of the vane is about 17.5 inches at it's highest point and approx. 10 inches at its widest point. Vintage Copper Nautical Sailboat Weathervane, Directionals, Lightning Ball
This is a fantastic vintage copper sailboat weathervane with N. S, E, and W directional and copper lightning ball. It is made of three pieces that can be disassembled; the sailboat, directional piece with lightening ball, and long copper pipe. It measures about 92" tall fully assembled. It seems to work well and turns easily in the wind. I don't believe it is incredibly old but does have some age to it. There is a bullet hole in one of the sails, some rust on the non-copper pieces, and there is a cracked spot on the long pipe(shown in the photos) but there are no bends in the pipe or any sign of weakening from the crack. It will be disassembled, shipped in two separate boxes, and insured.

There is no reserve on this great old weathervane. Up for bid is this aluminum or zinc advertising weathervane with“Robbins Maryville. Mo. inscribed on both sides of one end of the arrow. It is in good working order, but there is a slider on top to attach another piece which we don’t have. The insulator has a crack from top to bottom on both sides. This vane appears to be smaller than some on the pictures that we have seen of other Robbins weathervanes. All in all this is a great old advertising piece. Please enjoy the photos and we ask that you consider them as part of the description. The measurements are 19 ½” across the arrow and 15” from top to bottom. Glass lighting rod weathervane teardrop pendant
For your consideration is this glass lightning rod or weathervane teardrop pendant ornament. Not real knowledgeable on this item but I have seen them before. It's deep red with a metal top that is corroded and probably never coming off. But it still hangs like it's supposed and the color is great. I'm not finding any damage other to the metal top which shows in the pics. It's about 5.5 long including the top hanger and 3 wide.

Copper ball is in great shape. I can only feel two small, almost not visible, dents, main pole is iron(tried magnets on it) NSEW letters are copper and in great shape. attachment to goose that needs soldered is copper. The body of the goose is hollow, there is some slight denting on its underbelly and tail feathers, but not too noticeable. You can see the open seam area where goose needs soldered. If the goose were attached to the full weathervane it stands about 50" tall, the bird's length is 28" and 15" from top wing to underbelly. Weathervane is in great vintage shape. Neither of us are sure of it's age or the age of the weathervane. Weathervane seems to be cast iron and the roof zinc. The wood base measures 32 x 27. Lightning ROD Glass GLOBE Ball INSULATOR Weathervane Antique Purple Magnesium
I have for auction a beautiful magnesium purple glass lightning rod ball/ globe. It measures approx 5.5" the openings are approx. 1 1/4" on the outside and 1" on the inside of the hole. I see the bubbles in the glass as well as the dimples too that just shows how old this is. It could use a cleaning but will leave that up to the winning bidder. I do not see any cracks or chips except around the openings(see pics) nothing to bad. If you have the caps they will cover the chips on the ends. Has a"K" mark. A very old weathervane. It is in pretty good condition but sometimes sits catywompas. It is 14" tall and on the very top(the arrow) there are grapes& grape leaves. Oranges and pears. W& E directions are on one bar and S and N are on another. They sit upon a ball approx. 1& 1/4" wide. then there is a 6" hollow bar to the base which is 6& 1/2" wide. This is quite sturdy and weighs in@ 2lbs 8 oz so shipping will be a bit higher than usual.
