It is molded chalkware from the 20's or 30's and looks like a basket of Spring posies being held to the wall by a large gold ribbon! The arms are metal. It is a pretty piece! It was probably a boudoir piece; but would also be so cute in any cottage decor! This piece measures: 17" long x 9" across at the arms x 6" deep. Issues: This item has hollow arms that undoubtedly held electric wires and the fluted ends held a"candle" electrical fitting to house a bulb. The hole in the middle of the basket housed the on/off switch. There is no reason why this couldn't be rewired to work properly as an electric fixture! This antique sconce is beautifully hand crafted and constructed. It features ornately curved/scrolled wrought iron on the top, the bottom finial, and under each candle holder cup. The candle holders are attached to a large metal plate. The plate attaches to a large(antique) wooden beam. The piece is old and there are no screws used, everything is attached to the wood with nails. The 5 candle cups are very nicely designed with gothic/mission"spade" pattern. They are large and will hold a 4" pillar candle. There are 3 twisted iron rods that attach to the wood and then come together at the top. This is a stunning rare antique electric outdoor Gothic sconce fixture from a church. It is a large sconce made from solid bronze or copper which has obtained a wonderful patina from age. made early 1900's and is a wonderfully ornate design and has some nice weight to it. it's all wired and ready to hang It is 6 sided and has a nice tapered roof with riveted vents to release heat from the bulb. the panel sides have textured glass inserts which are orange and clear glass. the sides each have a cross fencing to avoid damage to the glass and have a bronze floral piece in the center. Vintage Antique Metal & Glass Figure Lady Angel Wall Pole Sconce Electric Lamp
Please review all 12 pictures using the zoom feature. This is a very unique and stunning vintage/ antique metal lady angel sconce which I assume was once mounted on a pole- either a standing pole or. More likely, a pole mounted on the wall. Overall she is 20" tall from bottom of the metal sconce to the top of the ruffled glass shade. The metal sconce is 12" then the shade sits securely into the top of the sconce once the 3 screws are turned to tighten it and hold it in place. I’m not sure what type of metal she’s made out of but she is heavy. Some of the finish has worn off in spots with the gray metal showing through but she displays nicely. Colors of the metal sconce portion are cream. Brown, goldish-brown. I have looked her over closely but don’t see any stamp or signature. The glass sconce is free of any chips. Cracks, or fleabites. ... moreThere is an overall frost to the glass then the bubble-raised panels are clear glass with frosted etchings. Every other panel is either scroll design only or scroll design plus a little sitting child/wingless cupid. The ruffle at the top is all frosted. This is a fabulous vintage piece. I bought it many years ago with the intent of rewiring her then mounting her on a pole then the wall but I never got around to it and now she wouldn’t fit into the decor of my house. The existing wire has been cut so she will need rewiring if you want her to be a functioning electric lamp. Again. This sconce is heavy. I have added a $1.00 packing fee into the postage cost as I will need to use a lot of packing material to ensure she makes it to her new home safely. She will be shipped insured priority mail. We are pleased to offer this very rare. Exceptional piece. This offering features a 1950s Spanish Giltwood frame large wall mirror with attached gilt tole lighted wall sconce. This incredible mirror/sconce is marked with the Ferracolor, Made in Spain, metal tag which is still attached to the sconce. This is an exceptionally rare and beautiful piece. The mirror is large and the giltwood frame is quite ornate. It features an intricately carved wood frame with Neoclassical design. It is accented with acanthus leaf scrolls, curved lines and a carved shell in the center bottom. The large, 3 light tole sconce features wheat leaves with acanthus leaf accents found under each lighted arm of the sconce. All are gold gilt and are in exceptional condition. There is expected aging to the tole sconce in just a couple of areas, but overall it still maintains ... moreits beautiful and original gold finish. The mirror frame is in immaculate condition for its age. It shows only minor aging in just a few spots but nothing that is easy to see except upon very close inspection. The mirror has some aging at the top in the form of a cloudy, lightly spotted appearance(see pictures 9& 10) Again, this does not stand out much except with close inspection. Otherwise, very good to excellent condition. The sconce is attached. Through the mirror with screws. It has been given the ability for the sconce to move a little for adjustment. The power cord features an on/off switch. It is vintage, but in good condition and the sconce is working perfectly. I have pictured with only one lighted bulb as 3 makes it a little too bright to photograph well. The mirror frame measures 38.5" wide and 34.5" tall. The sconce is 34.5" wide and measures 6" tall at the tallest leafed section and 7.5" tall at the center arm. Ferracolor pieces are exceptional in quality and extremely hard to find.
