This auction is for a vintage electric wired gilt over brass art nouveau wall sconce. Which holds two lights and globes. This is very clean and bright and beautiful, great details of flourishes and swirls with leafy elements at the base where the light bulbs go as well as the little screws that hold globes over the lights to diffuse the brightness. Unfortunately, not all of the screws are with the piece; we can see three of the six holes have them. We don't see a maker's mark or other identification. This measures approx. 15" tall and 10 ½" wide, standing approx. 6" from the wall. You can see that the wiring is not terribly old, and a couple of areas where there are some breaks in the gilt finish, barely noticeable really. We are pleased to offer this pair of decorative cast iron scrollwork wall mount candleholders/sconces in excellent condition. Very detailed pattern, measuring 11" x 8 1/2" at the longest and widest points. Fits a standard candlestick. Came from our family estate in Brooklyn NY and date to the late 1800s, early 1900s. Original mounting hardware and glass chimneys cannot be found but a replacement should be easily obtained from any home improvement store. Designed to fit into a socket type cylinder mount that allows it to swivel once mounted. Beautiful workmanship! Mint condition, only tiny flecks of rust inside the holder. It stands 14 ¼ inches long. 6 inches wide and 3 ¾ inches deep. It is plastic and was made by the Claremould Plastics Company of Newark New Jersey. This is an older one because the makers address on the back is Newark 5, New Jersey. That is the old Postal Code system that was used between 1943 and ended in 1963 when the new zip code system went into service. So it is at least older than 1963. It has an on/ off roller switch in the cord which is in good shape and works fine. It shows some minor scuffs and wear consistent with its 51+ year age. The two glass window panes are intact and there is a panel that you open to access the wick of the lamp. The wick does move up and down ... moresmoothly and you remove the top to access the oil reservoir. There are no dents in the brass or damage just normal wear as seen in photos. You simply mount the round brass circle to the wall and slip the oil lantern into it. Mid Century Gold-tone United Electric Wall Clock in a leaf design- Made in the U.S.A. It has two electric sconce lights. They do work and will come with the two new bulbs. The clock does work and keep time. I have only dusted the clock. It has some tarnishing(photo 3)on some of the leaves and needs a good cleaning. Unless perhaps you want the natural aged patina. Square mission styled glass electric shade. Fixture and shade in as found used condition. Fixture is straight with an irregular darkened patina from age. Canopy rear outer plate has a"lighter" cleaned? look. Also has a small hole in each of its corners(for mounting?see pics) Needs rewired. Glass shade has no breaks or cracks. I have up for auction a nice piece of bar decor. It is the Canadian Club Wall Sconce. It is made to hang on the wall with the wall mount hole on the back(see second to last pic) The light works great. The size is 15" top to bottom x 16" wide x 6-1/2" deep. Some of the gold is missing due to age I am sure. It is not flaking but worn. As in getting wiped clean for years. This is a vintage piece. It could use a cleaning as it was stored for many years. PAIR WROUGHT IRON 3 CANDLE HOLDER WALL SCONCE ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION
You are bidding on a wonderful pair of wrought iron candle sconces. They are 18 inches tall and come away from the wall 6 inches. Each sconce holds three candle tapers. There are remnants of some old candlewax and some light surface rust on each of these pieces. There are a few tiny dents or dings on them here and there. I have attempted to picture most of them. I think it adds a wonderful antique feel to them. Each of the candleholders is made from a rolled wrought iron and welded together. I am unsure as to the age but they look very Victorian or arts and crafts to me. There is a top loop on the holder which allows them to be hung on the wall. If you have any questions please ask me.
