Vintage 1950's Metal Kitchen Cabinets and Tracy Stainless Steel Double Sink
Full set of kitchen cabinets in solid condition. Used daily from the 1950's until the end of July 2014. The set is white/cream colored. The main piece consists of a stainless steel counter-top console with a double sink and built-in drainboards on both sides. Large amount of under-sink storage and easy access to plumbing. Two drawers on the left and three on the right. The left lower drawer pulls out nicely. The metal is solid with some surface rust spots. The cupboard that hangs above the sink is also solid white/cream painted metal with minimal surface rust spotting. There are three solid metal shelves; two that have factory-drilled holes to allow light to fill the cabinet- the original florescent light fixture works well and illuminates the cabinet nicely. There are two under-cabinet outlets that also work without any issue. There ... moreare factory built hooks to allow for a full set of coffee mugs to be conveniently suspended. There are sliding glass doors with minimal chipping but are fully functional. Another set of cabinets with minimal use and full efficiency include a long and short set. Both with original factory stickers and capability for recessed lighting. This set is in great condition. The fully intact glass doors slide easily on the original wood tracts, as do the main kitchen set. It appears that the front of the sink-cabinet console has been repainted. This is an amazing Mid-Century Modern kitchen cabinet with a porcelain sink that is in great condition. There is normal wear from use. Some scratches and wear on the sink and drainers, three chips on the porcelain about one inch each. There is very little rust and no damage to the cabinet. The drawers and doors are all in great working order. The pulls are all complete and like new. The back is open so it wouldn't work for an island. The cabinet is 53" x 24" and it is 36" tall. This is a nice cast iron basin style sink. I have had several of these and this is the best one I've had. Sink is solid with no cracks in the iron. The porcelain does have as I stated in item condition rubs. Nicks, scratches, and rust. IT IS NOT PERFECT! Picture number two as you can see is a fairly large chip and goes right down to the metal. Other than that this is a good solid sink and could be used as is. Included with this sink is the brass drain screen and short extension, extension will be removed for shipping. Vintage White Antique Cast Iron Farm House Sink No 2 Standard
This was pulled during a renovation on an old farmhouse located in New England. I do not have details on this sink as I do not know much about it. It is extremely heavy so is a pick up only item. It is obvious that the previous owners used this to clean paint brushes or as a second sink. The sink has a washboard/drain on the left side and some rust spots and scratches on a couple corners. I would say it would need to be refinished. I am able to get a lot of the staining off by scrubbing but it would take a boat load of elbow grease to get it clean. The plain faucet and Brass and Diamond pattern Crystal Handles we used in our bathroom until a couple of years ago. I can't remember if the plain faucet or the ornate faucet was original to the handles so I put everything I had in one lot and you can chose what to use. I believe the ornate faucet went with the handles and the plain may have been for the tub. But that plain worked better for the sink we had at the time so we used that with the handles.
