Vintage Stanley Sweetheart Door Hinges Ball Tip 1920s-30s
Vintage Stanley hinges. Eight total-six of them with"Sweetheart" mark. These were all in an old box of miscellaneous hardware. I don't think any of these hinges were ever used but they did bang around in the box for a while. There are three 4"x 4" brass plated ball-tip loose-pin door hinges marked Sweetheart. 2 of them were in the yellow Stanley box pictured. This may not be their original box but it protected them and they are in the best condition. These have some small areas of corrosion but the third hinge has more. Especially on the back(see pictures) There are also three 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" plain steel fixed-pin door hinges marked Sweetheart. All three have light corrosion on them. Vintage Brass Hardware Lot Estate Sale find! I believe these to be brass. They are definitely old. There are 28 hinges. 20 Handles and 20 of the flat base pieces. I chose not to attempt to clean any of these after I acquired them. I know very little about them so take a good look at the pictures and do not hesitate to ask any questions. Some pieces are in better condition than the other but they all seem acceptable and functional. I saw a few markings on them but nothing I felt was solid enough for me to attempt to track down a maker or anything. Once again. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. I have a large set of three heavy cold pressed iron door hinges for your consideration. These are excellent vintage quality being made by National Manufacturing Company. There is some old finish and paint that would clean up nicely for a new finish. Might clean up decent enough for original finish use. Pins remove and hinges pivot smoothly for reuse. These are large measuring 5 x 5 inches. I have included many extra antique standard slot screws that you may want to use that seem to seat nicely. Some of these are brass. Vintage Antique Ice Box Refrigerator Door Hinges Latches Handles Nickel Brass
Nice Antique Hinges! I have several other items up for sale so please check out my other auctions. These hinges and latches were removed from an old wooden cooler door left in the basement of a late 1800's building. The hinges were completely covered in paint- now"mostly" removed. The paint appears to have preserved the plating nicely. Since only the door was there. The catches for latches and screws for the hinge ends are not included. Two of the hinges appear to have been filed down at the very back possibly to make them fit somewhere. The hardware is solid brass as is evident by the filed down parts. They appear to be Nickel plated. There is a slight bend and stress crack on one of the hinges(shown) which appears to be a factory flaw. The reason it appears as a factory flaw is shown on the opposite side as what appears to ... morebe a small weld under the nickel plate? The latches need new springs on the inside. Which should be easily acquired from a hardware store. The handles function nicely. And if desired, the springs would be super-easy to install- one screw! I will include the only(broken) spring from the two for comparison. The hinges have a one inch offset. and the straps measure about 4 5/8 inches long. The base of the hinges are about 2 5/8 inches long and about 1 1/8 wide. The latch bases measure 2 3/4 high x 2 1/8 wide. The handles are approximately 4 1/8 long. The latch box is about 3/4" high. 3 Vintage 25" RICHARDS WILCOX Iron Arrow Strap Barn Door Hinges
This set of 3. Old, iron strap hinges are signed" RICHARDS-WILCOX" and probably date to 1900-1950( the company dates to the 1880s) Each arrow shaped strap measures 24" long x 2 3/3" where it holds the pin x 1/4" thick. The arrow tip is 2 1/2" tall x 2" The hinge has a removable 4" x 1/2" thick pin and a 8" tall x 2 1/2" wide back plate for mounting to the building. Part of the strap overlaps onto the back plate when everything is assembled so the total length of everything together is 25" All three pieces have old black paint with hints of red trim that is flaking- my guess is that it's original although the red could have come from a barn. Pair of vintage metal barn. Shed door, or gate strap hinges with screw type pintles. These hand made. Double sided hinges measure 10" long and 8 11/16" long. They are both 1 1/2" wide. The inside gap between the straps is 1 1/4" at the hinge. The gap will pull in at the wider ends when screws are put into the hardware. They were used on the same door and have a little of the red paint remaining. The longer hinge would be best used at the top of the door or gate. The pintels are heavy duty and measure 11 1/4" long and 3/4" in diameter. The threaded portion is 5 1/4" long and there is an old square nut at the ends. They are extra long for a thick post.
