Set of 14 Vintage AMEROCK Brass Tone Offset Cabinet Door Hinges, Retro, 1970's
Measuring a little over 3¼" from top to bottom. These offset cabinet door hinges feature a distinctive curl at each end, like commas. If I've counted them correctly there are 14 of them, even though only six showed up for the photo shoot. And if I'm measuring correctly, they are designed to fit 3/8" thick doors. On the inside of each handle is the old Amerock logo(an"A" in a circle) but nothing to indicate their age. They look like brass, but a magnet sticks to them, so I'd guess they're a brass coating over steel. The backs are black. Each has six screw holes, however we don't have any screws for them. Penn Antique Restoration. Set of 3 Restored Vintage Copper-plated Steel"Stanley Works" Door Hinges 3"x3" Lovely. Vintage door hinges made by"Stanley Works" of New Britain, CT during the first half of the previous century. Each hinge is made of solid, heavy, thick steel. The hinges were originally copper plated, but some of the plating wore off over the years leaving the parts with a nice, distressed finish. The hinges look much more red/pink in person than shown in the photos. All 3 hinges have a three-knuckle design with ball-tip finials on each end. The"SW" Stanley Works) logo is featured on the back of each hinge. At the point of salvage. The pins wouldn't budge, and the hinges were dirty and rusty. Much time was spent removing the pins, and thoroughly cleaning the parts in attempt them to bring ... morethem back to their original splendor. The hinges are in great shape. Free of breaks, cracks, chips, gouges, and bends/twists. All 3 hinges have some minor pitting on the insides(the sides which will be visible once installed) and and 1 has much more on the outside. Vintage Door Hinges - Lot of 5 Cannon Ball Top - 2 Copper; 2 Cast Iron; 1 Brass
Here are 5 Vintage Door Hinges all with cannon ball tops. I found these in my Grandfather's workshop and he was a contractor in a small town in Iowa from the 1920s to the early 1960s. Included in this listing are: 1) 2 black cast iron hinges. The plate is 4" long and with the ball pin 5 3/8" long by 4 1/8" wide full width and approximately 2" from the center of the hinge pin to the edge. I couldn't find any maker marks on these. These are very dusty and do have some scratches and a some rust especially on the hinge pin and ball tops. On one of them I couldn't get the pin all the way in(see last picture) There are 4 screw holes on each side. 2) 1 brass hinge- made by Stanley. The plate is 3 1/2" long and with the ball pin 4 3/4" long. It's 3 1/2" wide full width and 1 3/4" wide from center ... moreto edge. There are 3 screw holes on each side. 3) 2 copper hinges with a ton of paint still on them. These are the L shaped style which I think is called a half Mortise but am not positive. They are 3 1/2" long by approximately 4" wide- full width. One side with the indent is 2 1/8" wide and the other flat side is 1 7/8" wide from the center to the edge. The indent is about 1/2" deep. Again. All are worn with scratches, paint, rust and wear and the one cast iron pin doesn't quite go all the way in. I prefer to use Priority Mail with tracking. But with the increase in postal rate, I've added the Parcel Post rate with tracking so that you can chose the service you want. Please remember the Post Office doesn't guarantee the delivery date for Parcel Post. Also, I do combine shipping whenever possible to help save you money. Because these weigh so much- over 3 lbs, it's cheaper to use the Priority Mail Flat Rate Box* International buyers. Paypal is required for purchase. Antique Vintage Sargent & Co. Victorian/Eastlake Brass Entry Door Lockset Hinges
Today I have a Sargent& Co. Of New Haven, Connecticutt, entry door lock set. There is the makers name and a patent date of Jan. 26, 1886 on the lock. It appears to be a brass plate with metal lock, I didn't clean so the original patina is there. Comes with everything in pictures, lock with face plate, escutcheon plate with two key holes- one covered by cover that swings to side, key hole plate, thumb turn for deadbolt, round plate for handle to pass thru, two washers, door handle with both knobs matching, and all original screws for mounting. I do not have the key. It may be hard to see, but all brass parts have lots of detail on them. Cleaned up they should shine. The lock part that would fit in pocket of door measures, 4-3/4" tall, 7/8" wide, and 4-1/2" deep. Comes with three 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" hinges, original ... moreto door set with all the detail.
