These are"old school" in that they are genuinely from the 1880s. Just look at the detail in the casting. Vintage NATIONAL BIG 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers Farm Hardware (SET #1)
For your consideration is this pair of National Mfg. Co. Big 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers" Each roller measures approximately 10 1/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide. I found no signs that these were ever installed(see photos. No tracks on rollers or imprints by bolts or barn door on horseshoe bracket) and believe they are new. They were found on a shelf in the barn of a farm estate sale(with the second pair I have listed) and no telling how long they have been in that barn. The roller and the hinge on both move freely and smoothly and I would rate these both in good condition. The box has been wet at some time and a mouse might have had a bite or two. The brackets do have some surface rust and the high spots do show shelf wear. The new owner will decide to refinish or just wipe off and use as-is with character marks and all. This outfit includes 2 cymbal stands, 2 snare stands, and one hi-hat stand. All hardware is in wonderful, mechanically-sound condition and would make a complete set for your kit, including a stand for your snare AND your rack tom! Height adjustments work smoothly on all stands, tilters on cymbal stands have original screws and work well. Snare stands have solid locking tilters on baskets, baskets adjust well and hold both snares and 13" rack toms easily. Hi hat stand has good spring action- footboard sits higher and a little more horizontally than modern stands but works well. Nice old cast iron rim lock with brown Victorian doorknobs and iron catch for your consideration. Nice heavy iron box measures 4 1/8 x 3 1/4 inches. Included are two doorknobs that I think are Bennington. They are scratched and scuffed from age and use. Although could be reused. One has a flanged neck with driverod for lockside of application. Cast iron rosette included for other side of door. Will need a keyhole cover or another cobination backplate. Locking lever for latch. Engages and disengages locking mechanism smoothly for latch. Drive gear spring feels strong for another lifetime. No deadbolt slide key although it would seem that all internal parts are there for when you find one or have one made. Two nice vintage casting reels. The brass one measures about 3" across. Marked"No 7110 Mfd by Union Hardware Company Torrington CT. A nice one with a strong click and good function. The second reel is a very small 2 1/2" reel. Metal body(nickel) with some scrapes and I think I'll call it pitting in the old finish. Bottom of foot is marked"80" or"08" The top of the foot has stampings but they are difficult to read, One side seems to say"NDRYX" and the other side has patent dates: March 21 1915 and then"July" and I can't read what is after it. 6 Vintage Restoration Hardware Coat Hooks Heavy Wire Screw In Black Paint
Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" This is a group of 6 vintage heavy wire screw in 2 hook coat hooks. All 6 of these hooks are in very good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or worn areas in the metal and there are no repairs. The hooks were all painted black at some point so they do show signs of natural wear and use with some paint loss, adn some have bits of other paint on them. One of the hooks needs to have the threaded screw straightened out a bit with a pair of pliers or gently force. The wire on each piece is 3/8” thick. The threaded screw in end is 7/8” long, and the large hook is 3" long and the smaller hook is 1 1/2" ... morelong. Each one measures 4” long from the tip of the threaded end to the tip of the curved hook, and they are about 3” from the bottom hook to the top side of the big hook. Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have– I am always happy to answer! Set of 2 Heavy Decorative Cast Iron Vintage Bank Vault Hinges- these weigh a little over 2 1/2 lbs. each! Acquired from a vintage collector in historic Angelica. NY. Please note on 4th picture that one of the hinges has a small hole in the metal. From bottom of base to the highest point of the hinge, it measures approx. 6" the widest part of the base is 2 1/2" wide; the diameter of the hole where the hinge itself went is approx. 5/8" in diameter; the diameter of the bolt holes in the base is approx. 7/16" If someone were to find a dowel or metal rod of the right diameter, this would make an wonderful rack or holder- there could be many wonderful uses of these historic, durable beautiful pieces!
