THE EDGES ARE UNEVEN WHERE THE QUILT WAS NOT FINISHED. THIS IS REALLY A GREAT QUILT THAT ENTAILED A LOT OF WORK.

Vintage Hand Stitched Grandma Flower Garden Quilt Block 1930s
Up for auction is a vintage hand stitched Grandma Flower Garden block. The block has a 6 pointed star shape. About 21" point to point) It is composed of 122 hexagonal pieces; each hexagonal piece is about 1 1/2" Somebody spent a lot of time to sew the pieces together by tiny stitches. The block is in good condition. I was told it was made in 1930s and was stored away for many years. Foreign buyer is responsible for any customs fees. OLD METAL PAIL WITH POUR LIP. COULD BE USED FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. EITHER DECORATIVE OR FUNCTIONAL. THERE IS ONE TINY HOLE IN THE BOTTOM. I TOOK SEVERAL PHOTOS OF THE SIDE METAL PIECE, AS I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT'S PURPOSE IS, BUT IT HOOKS ONTO THE EDGE OF THE PAIL. THE PAIL IS ABOUT 7 1/2 INCHES TALL, 11 INCHES WIDE AT THE POUR LIP, AND 7 1/4 INCHES ACROSS THE BOTTOM THE PAIL ITSELF IS NOT RUSTED OUT, THE HANDLE IS ALL METAL, NO MARKS ON IT ANYWHERE.

My grandma's house is still in our family and this Jesus picture has been hanging inside for many years. We are a sentimental family. But we just can't keep everything! Its condition is very good. But if you look closely you can probably find some minor old age flaws like scuffs& scratches. It hangs very crudely with a string and two screw-in pegs. Here's a little more info: Wooden frame is very lighweight& sturdy. Printed near lower right-hand corner(3rd picture) Warner Sallman 1941.1942 by Kriebel& Bates.Litho In USA. Printed on back(11th picture) Stock No. 263. Paper on the back has some obvious tears. Measurements: Frame(no glass) slightly more than 11 5/8" x 9 5/8" Front opening- approximately 7 5/8" x 9 5/8" Please pay with Paypal within 2 days from end of auction. I cannot guarantee the veracity of this guy because it is founded on the owner's rewards system and mutual trust but I can tell you he is very large, very cool and a tad heavy so shipment will be Priority Insured Flat Rate paid lovingly by you, his new owner, as a testimony of your devotion. Most white spots are camera glare except the chip and the slight wear to the face. There are a couple very small dark spots from the original manufacture. The initials M.A. appear on the bottom next to the date 71(1971) signed with the dragon head IMAGE(WITH EYES) for the 7 and the tail for the 1. One of the doors is loose because the pin it is attached to is not fixed into the doorframe at both the top and the bottom(needs slotting back in) It can be partly put into position(as in the pictures) but it doesn't stay put. The greenhouse comes with the two original rows of flowers in pots- to go inside the green house. One on either side.
