This item for auction is a set of 5 Vintage Antique Porcelain Glass Door Knobs. Two are white and 3 of them are black. They are 2 1/4" across and 3/4" thick. The are 2" to the top of the connector. One black one has a rough spot on it. But all others are in nice condition. For someone looking to replace this item they would all be good. 2 MATCHING VINTAGE BRASS COPPER ? DECOR DOOR KNOBS NICE PATINA
These are old door knobs. They came off the same door, one has a red copper looking patina, the other has a yellower brass like patina. They came out of my parents home which was built in the 20's, my mother doesn't remember when they were installed. It could have been the 40's or 50's. Don't know what they are made of. A magnet is attracted to them, they don't look like they are plated so they might have a steel core with brass or copper over them? They are just very nice looking old door knobs. I took pictures from different angles to try and capture the colors.

Looks like brass– though one of the door knobs is more silver-colored than gold, see photos, so it seems that the material may vary from one to the other. Two of the sets have connecting hardware. The other two door knobs have screws but no metal bar. All match with beautiful circular detailing on the knob!

Vintage Door Knob Parts: Mortise Knobs, Face Plates, Striker Plates…

The broken mortise seems to work in spite of its condition. The old Yale lock can probably be used with the unusual striker plate but I don’t think they are a pair. The striker plate has the numbers 4237 on it. Four of the five knobs are antique and the other one is probably meant for a mobile home. ANTIQUE DOOR PASSAGE MORTISE with STEEL KNOBS.very good condition This early to mid 1900's antique storm door knobs with mortise passage insert is still in very good condition. They have been wire brushed to clean the surface. Knobs are steel. Measuring about 2" in diameter with no obvious dents on the round knob, and about 2" long on the lever knob. Cover plates are missing. Cast iron passage mortise insert operates properly, and measures about 1 7/8" x 1 3/4" x 9/16" thick. Good luck bidding!

We found these old door knobs at estate sales. You will get a total of 8 knobs. 5 are marbled. 1 is the same lighter brown background color but only a tiny bit of darker color swirling in it and 2 that are darker brown– also with only a tiny bit of darker color in them. Exquisite beautifully cast antique Victorian oval knobs and matching backplates with intricate detailing. An unusual find to have 14 matching sets consisting of 2 knobs and 2 plates each. Spindle and screws included. Originally finished in a copper wash. Plates and knobs have varying amunts of copper left, consistant with their age, but all are lovely and the design is very graceful. I have meticuously removed all the crud and paint from each piece so they are very clean. This auction is for 29 plates pictured and 29 matching knobs, with spindles and screws. It's difficult to measure the diameter because of the curve. But they are very roughly about 2.5 inches in diameter. These were likely made by Kenton Hardware in the late 1800's.
