The plates ... morehave a swirl pattern around a star burst in the center. There is a gold circle line around the star burst. Around the plates the glass is done in several different clear textured glass in a geometric pattern. The outside border is done in blue with white glass mix. The overall size of the panel is approximately 17 x 11. I want to note that the plates have a base about 1/2 high so the back side of the panel is not flat. This is to allow the front side to be flat to the edge of the plates where they then curve in for the plate. The panel can be hung in either direction as there rings in each corner. The patina on the solder is black and the frame is silver. All items are handmade by me using the Tiffany style of construction. Shipping: Insurance is included in shipping. 24 Panel Large Architectural Stained Glass Window
This is an exquisite and beautifully crafted leaded stained glass art window. It is large. Measuring 19'4 1/2" wide X 7'5 3/4" high. The art is titled on the glass"Birth, Growth, and Return" and depicts an underwater tightly woven grass which passes thru an underwater"ring" and then unfurls and grows. Towards the end of it's growth, new grass is growing out of the soil. This work was commissioned by an San Francisco Bay Area architectural firm for it's offices in the late 1970's. The artist is Beverly Reiser, who's works have been shown at the Oakland Museum of California. The postcard photograph shows 18 of the 24 panels when it was in place in the architects office. The panels were arranged as a 3 sided enclosed light well, with a skylight above providing lighting behind the glass. The ... morephotograph shows 2 of the 3 sides enclosing the light well. The detailed photo shows a wine glass in front of one panel to give you a feeling for the intricate detail and color in the glass. The drawing provides the architect or designer the dimensions for incorporating the glass into a building or space design. The glass is currently stored in Reedley- a town in the central valley of California. Each panel is surrounded with a thick leaded perimeter, and each panel is designed to fit within a"tee" shaped metal window frame with retainers. Hand crafted large light house panel measuring 28 inches wide and 22 1/2 inches tall. Panel is done in teal. Mauve, mint green and black glass. The ladder going up the front of the light house is crafted out of wire to give the piece a 3D look. The panel is framed in 1 1/2 inch solid oak with a chain for hanging. 128 pieces of glass were hand cut, the edges of the glass were ground smooth, then wrapped in copper foil and then hand soldered with 60% lead 40% tin. Fire Flower" Stained Glass Window Panel measuring 20 1/2" x 14 1/2" This panel is so pretty in person. Pictures do not do justice to stained glass. I have used 28 bevels in the border along with black opal glass to contrast against the flower's orange/red blended colors with a silver center piece with applied patina to give it a antique patina color. There is a close up picture of the center I used. And the last picture is of the back. This panel gives a 3D look from the back showing the depth of the centerpiece. The center disc features small pieces of fused glass that have been kiln-fired to smooth out and permanently attach to the clear glass, which has created a glittering effect that catches the light. The black detailing and shadowing has been hand-painted and kiln-fired in the traditional manner; please see below to read what that entails. The design was created by me. RARE VINTAGE Alice Wonderland Stained Glass Double Panel Mad Hatter Cheshire Cat
An exceptionally rare circa mid century double paneled Alice in Wonderland stained glass sun catcher of the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter. With illustrations by John Tenniel, in mint condition. Made of thick. Wavy glass, this vintage stained glass piece is 10.5” long x 7” high(separately, each panel is 5” x 7” Each leaded picture piece is solidly within its frame, they are held together by two metal hinges at the top and bottom of the frame, both are in perfect condition. While I don’t know the exact process used for putting the drawings on the glass, it appears that the images were applied on the backside(they appear more dull on the back than on the front) The panels are of the Cheshire Cat sitting in a tree, over the Alice in Wonderland chessboard playing field, and the other panel shows the Mad Hatter, giving one of his(many) orations ... moreat the Mad Tea Party table. Each panel has intricate scrollwork detailing around the edges, with a black club, a red heart, a black spade and a red diamond appearing in each of the four corners. The frame I have painted white to give that crisp feeling. These windows are so pretty and the colors when the sun shines are breath taking. You can take these windows and hang them in a window for privacy. Wright was commissioned by Avery and Queene Coonley to design and build a private school in Riverside. Illinois for their daughter Elizabeth, and the neighborhood children. This cottage school was referred to as the Coonley Playhouse and displayed his unique identifiable art glass windows. This extremely unique stained glass piece was displayed for 30 years in renowned Brooklyn restaurant. Castle Harbour. The piece was commissioned for the establishment in 1976. In 2006. The restaurant was torn down, but thankfully this breathtaking piece of art was removed prior and has been carefully preserved. It's very large. It was appraised in 2003 for $10.645.00. As per the appraisal in total it measures 68"x156" It has been described as a 3 panel naval battle scenic wall window consisting of approx. 86 individual segments of a mixture of hand cast and kokomo opalescent glasses all copperfoiled and soldered. Due to it's size and weight. We are accepting local pick-up only. The pieces are currently stored in 3 separate crates.
